Cash cow Big Apple: NYC's migrant debit cards give illegals up to $10,000 EACH in taxpayer money with no ID check or fraud control and are propped up by inexperienced New Jersey bank

Democrat mayor Eric Adams has claimed the program would start with 500 families and cost $52million. He said it is meant to save money, because it will allow migrants to buy their own food and baby supplies, which officials say will save $600,000 per month and $7.2 million annually. City Hall said it would be saving the money because they are currently throwing up to 5,000 meals a day provided by contractor DocGo. But, in reality, the contract's fine-print leaves the option open for the program to become an open-ended, multi-billion-dollar deal, as reported by The New York Post. The $53million is not the total cost - rather it is only the fee that Mobility Capital Finance (MoCaFi) will receive for its services, as explicitly stated in the contract. City Hall has actually given itself the flexibility to disburse at least $2.5 billion on the pre-paid debit cards over a year. To make matters worse, the city's Housing Preservation & Development also reportedly did not go through the usual competitive bidding process before awarding the job to Mobility Capital Finance (MoCaFi). As the Post notes, the contract for the pilot program says MoCaFi was 'referred to HPD by City Hall.'

In principle yes, they wont immigrants to get on their feet, find a place to live and get into rat race as soon as possible, so they can help them drive down wages of incumbent locals.

Its just stealth economic war with governments and corporations on one side their own people on other.

$10,000 is nothing, its just a paper that government can print. That's where 120% Debt/GDP comes from. You are paying for it, so who cares. That's how it works, governments use your own money to fight against you. It has been like that since governments were invented.

CNN —

My Pillow owner and right-wing conspiracy theorist Mike Lindell will have to pay $5 million because of a contest he initiated at one of his “cyber symposium” events after the 2020 election, a federal judge confirmed Wednesday.

Robert Zeidman, a software developer, took Lindell up on a so-called “Prove Mike Wrong” challenge at an event the election-denier hosted. Participants in the challenge could win $5 million if they proved data Lindell provided about the 2020 election wasn’t real election data, according to rules the participants agreed to. The contest allowed participants to arbitrate if needed. Zeidman responded in the challenge with a 15-page report saying that the data Lindell put forth wasn’t complete or representative of possible data that had been captured in real time from the internet, according to a federal court decision Wednesday. Zeidman lost the challenge initially, but then took Lindell to arbitration, and won. Lindell had hoped a federal judge would wipe out the $5 million award to Zeidman. But the judge, John Tunheim of the US District Court in Minnesota, refused to do so on Wednesday. “The panel was tasked with the difficult job of interpreting a poorly written contract,” Tunheim wrote, about the prior decision to award Zeidman the $5 million. “The Court fails to identify evidence that the panel exceeded its authority,” he added. “The data was just so obviously bogus,” Zeidman previously told CNN. “It surprised me.”

CNN’s Sara Murray contributed to this report.

I think that's absolutely hilarious. I heard an interview with Zeidman when this first happened and I don't recall the specifics but he said he was with a group of quite a few other software developers when this dat was presented as a challenge and as it turns out he has a niche specialty no one else does related to his employment. He said when he saw the data it was as if he could stare at the Matrix and read it clearly (my words) so he called his wife at the first opportunity and asked heR what she'd like to do with five million bucks. Good for him and good for blowing holes in that wet toilet paper of a conspiracy theory.

Here's another question for Mike: if you have never offered some stupid slippers or sheets 'ever before' how can they be 50% off if they have never been offered for sale?

I think the guy in all likelihood means well and actually believes his own bullshit. That doesn't mean he is credible or even playing with a full deck on any topic under the sun, nor would I trust him in any way shape or form. He just invented a nice pillow. Mike was dumb enough to basically make a 5 million dollar bet on a shaky house of cards mostly built with jokers and now has to pay up. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Homeless numbers have spiked under Biden to 650,000 - the highest EVER - after steadily declining for 17 years

The homeless population across the United States has reached an all-time high under the Biden Administration after steadily declining for 17 years, new data shows.

On a single night in 2023, 653,104 people were experiencing homelessness, an increase of 12 percent from the year before, according to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development Annual Homelessness Assessment Report.

That is the highest the population has ever been since the point-in-time count began in 2007 - although the count was skipped in 2020-2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The homeless epidemic has reached an all-time high fueled by crime, unemployment, a drug crisis and skyrocketing rents, leaving hundreds of thousands of Americans living on the streets.

The spike has happened since Biden took office as Americans have also dealt with crippling inflation and a housing market that has many feeling squeezed.

Putting hundreds of thousands of small businesses out of work permanently with COVID lockdowns probably didn't help. Add to that the border crisis. Imagine if instead of causing all those businesses to go under with stupid restrictions, they'd been allowed to stay open and were given incentives to hire more people. It would have cost far less than all the money wasted on COVID restrictions, put people to work, and far fewer would be homeless.

RFK Jr. becoming president: “I would put a statue of Snowden in Washington … Assange I’m going to pardon on Day 1”

If the people don't vote for RFK Jr. — what does that say about America being in-touch with its precious freedoms?

I would love to see a person of the media interview Biden and say something like "Mr. President, should you win a second term do you think there is a way that you can destroy the U.S. to a higher degree then what you have already done?".
