NYC Mayor Eric Adams calls for an END to sanctuary city status in screeching U-turn after welcoming migrants with open arms - drawing 200,000 arrivals in 18 months and sparking a crime wave​



The Democrat leader has faced a furious backlash as schools, hotels and community centers have been turned over to the 180,000 migrants who he has warned will 'destroy' the city. He has been a doughty defender of its decades-old sanctuary status which forbids city officials from asking questions about a person's immigration status, or revealing it to federal authorities. But he revealed his change of heart after furious residents grilled him about migrant crimes including January's brutal Times Square attack on two cops that saw most of the suspects freed on bail within hours of their arrests. 'We need to modify the sanctuary city law that if you commit a felony or violent act we should be able to turn you over to ICE and have you deported,' he told a town hall meeting on Monday night.

Lauren Boebert's 18-year-old son Tyler is arrested and faces 22 charges over string of vehicle break-ins and property theft​

Tyler Boebert was taken into custody at around 2:30 pm on Wednesday, according to police in the town of Rifle, Colorado. He's facing 22 different charges, including four counts of criminal possession of a financial device, three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor to three counts of theft of under $300. The other charges range from four felony counts of criminal possession of ID, a felony count of conspiracy to commit a felony and over 15 different misdemeanor and petty charges.

Biden, 81, did NOT take a cognitive test during physical because he 'doesn't need it': White House dismisses concerns about Joe's annual check-up​

The White House confirmed President Joe Biden did not take a cognitive test during his annual physical on Wednesday, and insisted he 'doesn't need' one. Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre brushed aside concerns the 81-year-old is not fit for a second term and touted his record.

'Given that there's been so much scrutiny ... why not just have his doctor administer the test,' a reporter asked after Biden went to Walter Reed for his annual health check-up. She responded: 'Folks need to understand that the president passes a cognitive test every day!'

She dismissed the need for a cognitive, despite the Department of Justice calling him an 'elderly man with a poor memory' in the special counsel report on his mishandling of classified documents.

'His doctor, including the neurologist, do not believe that he needs one,' Jean-Pierre added. A team of 20 doctors, including the White House physician, were present for the exam at Walter Reed. 'That is their assessment,' she added.

Biden earlier joked that doctors 'think I look too young' while giving reporters an update on his annual physical.
