I've never had an actual sighting of lights, or anything of the sort before in my life. Just dreams, which often more than not, felt like much more than just dreams. But I never had a physical experience before with anything like that.
This past Saturday night, I was hanging out with a close friend of mine. We were on the second story of my house, sitting on the roof, facing west. It was probably close to midnight at this point, and we were just having a casual conversation. Now, whenever I brought up the possibility of extraterrestrials, ghosts, cryptids, etc. any of my friends just kind of laughed and shut down whatever I had to say. However, as of late, this particular friend came around on the subject of ghosts and the paranormal as his brother had recently passed away... Anyways, he confessed to me he did believe in extraterrestrials and UFOs, and I asked why he never said so before. He said he felt as if he'd be ridiculed, but that when he realized how adamant I was on the subject, even when I was laughed at or made fun of, he realized it wasn't a bad thing. As we were talking about this, we were looking in the sky above my neighbor's yard and above the street next to mine, which goes to a point where there's a mountain and some radio antennae.. we saw a light in the sky that was hovering in the same spot for roughly a minute or so, and when we were both watching it, it moved up and down numerous times in a fast manner before it started just hovering again.
I thought it was awesome that he had just admitted to believing in this stuff, and I got my first experience in seeing something like this with him. There aren't really any reported sightings like this in my area that I know of, but after this happened we hurried back into the second story window we came out of and told our other friend what had happened, to which they pretty much dismissed.
Either way, I finally got my first sighting, and so did he
