Senate Republicans warn Biden admin's quiet adjustment to line of succession is illegal

Senate Republicans are expressing frustration with the Biden administration over its decision to add Acting Secretary of Labor Julie Su — whose nomination to the role was never confirmed — to the presidential line of succession.

In a Tuesday letter to President Biden, Alabama GOP Sen. Katie Britt and 29 of her Republican Senate colleagues expressed "grave concerns" and requested clarification from the administration for its "apparent belief" that Su is "eligible to assume the office of President of the United States pursuant to the presidential line of succession as established by Congress in the Presidential Succession Act of 1947."

"As you are well aware, since March 14, 2023, the United States Senate has declined to confirm Ms. Su’s nomination as Secretary of Labor, and she continues to lack adequate support from both Republican and Democratic members of the Senate to be confirmed to that position," the senators wrote. "Despite that reality and Ms. Su becoming the longest-ever Cabinet nominee to await confirmation in a time when the same party controls the White House and the Senate, the White House has chosen to keep her in place as Acting Secretary of Labor on an indefinite basis and has also listed her on the White House website as a member of the Cabinet ‘n order of succession to the Presidency.’"

if someone beamed back to say, 2000 and told me what was about to transpire over the next 20+ years I simply wouldn't believe the nonsense I'd hear. When the hell did the concept of being Judenfrei become acceptable in an environment when we're so ****ing sensitive we tip toe around what pronouns we use ?

It is strange that the term “Awake” would come to mean different things to different people. My parents and grandparents would not understand the nonsense that is invading our country.

I think back to some kitchen table talk when I was a wee pigfarmer and my grandparents felt the world was swirling around the porcelain back in 1970 or so. Every generation probably has some version of that - out with the old and in with the new. That said, Holy **** ! I believe much of this insanity has been deliberately contrived and targeted for political purposes, now it's running amok.

We don't even have an Apollo mission or the like to 'save 2023'.

Washington state senator is arrested in Hong Kong for carrying a GUN while on a five-week vacation with his wife: Faces 14 years in jail under brutal Chinese regime but claims it was just an 'honest mistake'

Longview Republican Jeff Wilson was flying with his wife to the Chinese city at the start of a five-week vacation in South-East Asia when he realized his mistake. Reaching into his hand luggage for a 'piece of gum' he discovered the firearm in there as well which had also escaped the attention of security staff when he set off from Portland in Oregon. 'It was an honest mistake, and I expect the situation to be resolved shortly,' he wrote on his website. But he was arrested on arrival in the repressive former colony, thrown into jail and charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm.

As Biden, 80, gets a challenger his support plummets with DEMOCRATS and approval falls to the lowest since Jimmy Carter - as Dean Phillips enters 2024 race while president's base deserts him

As President Joe Biden gets a Democratic challenger in Rep. Dean Phillips, a new poll showed that his approval rating among Democrats has dropped 11 points in one month and is at the lowest of his presidency.

While 75 percent of Democrats still approved of 80-year-old Biden, that number had stood at 86 percent in the September Gallup poll.

Gallup's October numbers, released Thursday, showed that Biden lost ground with independents too, going from 39 percent approval in September to 35 percent this month.

His overall approval rating for the month stood at 37 percent, down from 41 percent in September and averaging 40 percent over the last quarter.

That means that his quarterly average approval rating at this point in his presidency is lower than all but one of the post-World War II presidents, only beating Jimmy Carter, who had an average approval rating of 31.4 percent.

James Carville says top Democrats are telling him to shut up about Biden's 2024 weaknesses

Prominent Democratic Party strategist James Carville is claiming that "leading Democrats" have been telling him to hush up about President Biden’s difficult prospects for winning re-election in 2024.

In an article about Rep. Dean Phillips’, D-Minn., newly announced bid to primary Biden, The Atlantic spoke to Carville about his belief that the current president’s chances has a high mountain to climb as he seeks re-election.

The strategist disclosed that Biden’s numbers are "not good" and added Democrats are trying to get him to stop talking about it, not because he’s wrong, but because the idea is upsetting, he suggested.

Carville added that when he tells Democratic leaders that Biden is in trouble, they don’t disagree with him, they just tell him to keep it to himself. "Nobody is saying, ‘James, you’re wrong,’" he said. "They’re saying, ‘James, you can’t say that.’"

Biden allows epic flood of illegals into US at Almost 10 Million with over a year to go

(Excerpt)

The first year under Biden we saw more than a 200% increase with 1,956,519 encounters, a historic record. The second year we saw 2,766,582, a new historic record. The latest number released today shows 3,201,144, an even newer historic record, 400% higher than the last year under Trump.

On top of that we also saw a total of 169 aliens arrested who were on the FBI's terror watch list, also a historic record. The 169 number was higher than the previous six years combined.

The historic records continue in other areas as well. On top of historic illegal immigration and historic number of known or suspected terrorists at the border, we have nearly 1.7 million "known gotaways" since Biden has taken office.

This September 2023 was the highest monthly total of any month ever recorded. In summary, FY21-23 total nationwide encounters stand at approximately 7.9 million and if you add the 1.7 million known gotaways, you are at 9.6 million aliens entering this country under the Biden administration with over a year to go.

Joe's fright night! Biden creepily whispers in the ear of a young boy and Jill dresses as Willow the First Cat for a VERY rainy White House Halloween

President Joe Biden got so scared seeing kids in spooky costumes at the White House that he dropped the presidential M&Ms he was passing out. The commander-in-chief faked his fear convincingly as an army of dinosaurs, skeletons, witches, Barney the Dinosaur, Mario and Luigi, ghostbusters , and super heroes trick-or-treated on the South Lawn of the White House. As he dropped the candy he bent down to pick it up, plopping it into the bag instead.

FBI director goes silent when asked if country 'safer' under Biden

FBI Director Christopher Wray went silent Tuesday when questioned over whether the country was safer since President Biden took office.

"Is the United States safer from foreign terror threats today? Are we safer than when Joe Biden took office — from the day he took office?" Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., asked Wray during a Senate Homeland Security Committee hearing.

Wray took an extended pause, sitting silently and appearing to be in deep thought before finally answering.

"What I would say to you is that the terror threats have elevated. But I also think there are a lot of things the country has done throughout law enforcement to be better prepared to deal with them," he said, not directly saying whether the country had become safer under Biden's watch.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In an embarrassing gaffe, several members of the United States Secret Service spent over four hours protecting what turned out to just be a Halloween butler decoration in the entryway of the White House.

"Ah, crap. We could've sworn it was POTUS," said Captain Cody Callow, one of the agents left red-faced after the realization they had been guarding a mannequin of a creepy butler purchased from Walmart. "In my defense, it's not the first time this has happened. Speaking of which, has anyone seen POTUS?"

Eyewitnesses say two agents had remained alertly at their post for several hours before it dawned on them that they'd only been standing in front of an uncanny likeness of the President. "Code red, code red! Has anyone seen the President?" said Callow into his radio. "I have lost contact with the President."

Sources say Biden was eventually found in the kitchen getting into the pots and pans cabinet again.
At publishing time, First Lady Jill Biden had ordered a large "NOT POTUS" sign to be taped to the front of the butler decoration.

NYC Mayor Adams described as 'Black Trump' for warning migrant crisis to 'destroy' city: 'Bigoted thinking'

An MSNBC writer blasted New York City Mayor Eric Adams as "Black Trump" Sunday for his speech raising concerns about the migrant crisis which was spilling over into the Big Apple, calling it "bigoted thinking" inspired by the right.

"But there’s a reason Adams’ rant is being applauded by conservatives… Maybe it’s because [conservatives] feel they’ve made him… come around to their bigoted thinking," said Ja'han Jones, a writer for MSNBC's The ReidOut Blog, the "digital extension" of Joy Reid's primetime show.

In his most recent post, Jones repeatedly blasted Adams – who is a Democrat – for "parroting right-wing talking points and espousing conservative politics" on immigration.

"That has led some of his critics to label him ‘Black Trump’ And he lived up to the moniker Thursday with an anti-immigrant diatribe that sounded as if it had been ripped from the former president’s social media feed," Jones wrote.
