Mummified Baboons Narrow Down The Mystery Location of an Ancient Fabled Land
Good video August, have you ever come across any credible info about the hole in the sphinx's head?
Sketch by Vivant Denon in 1798:

Am not that well versed on Egyptian lore (or research background) but the story goes that in 1914 Professor George A. Reisner excavated the hole and found a temple in there.
The Sphinx has lots of holes not many people have been allowed to examine them though so where some of them lead to is a mystery. Zahi Hawas isn't one to allow people to play with his Sphinx. Many theories exist the video I have attached the guy believes it was for a giant metal bolt to hold the Sphinx's head on (?) It could have just been people digging into the head to see what was underneath , who knows .
There is a hole in the Sphinx’s head and it is now Covered Up
The Temple of Naqa, ( Nubia ) circa 1820.
Cats were shown under the chairs of females only in Ancient Egypt, never under a mans.
No worries mate and appreciate the info - don't think the George Reisner tale is too credible but there's another relevant account below from 1837 - whatever the case it's all very fascinating and am going through all the info in this thread.
Thank you Karl that's great . I did have other info on that hole in the head just got to find it. Will post it when I do.
Cleopatra testing poisons on prisoners and slaves.
Is that a young leopard?
He looks like a young one. Brought up from a cub no doubt he is quite tame.
