Egyptian Mau. This is the 1st domestic cat breed. Concidered scared. This cat breed was housed in the temple of bast. To harm one was death. As each cat was the avatar of Bast.

Yes one Roman soldier was stoned to death for killing a cat. They are divine creatures . One of my cats is called Mau Mau. He's 10 years old.

What exactly happened to all the objects found by Howard Carter after he finished exploring Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1930, after they has been lying there for the past 3200 years? The most precious of them are exhibited in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, but most were kept out of sight from the very beginning. As soon as I get access to the video I will post it . Its on SBS by demand. [IMG]

I love ancient Egypt as much as y'all! In fact I am an ancient Egyptian reenactor. The few, the proud, the alone. I have a number of ancient Egyptian armours underway, including linen armour, painted hide/ leather scale armour of the same construction as that found in Tut's tomb. and a number of others. Here is a test section of Egyptian painted hide/leather armour made for Mike Loades; he took it to Egypt and shot arrows at it:
