As cool as it is to think of all the hidden secrets that may be at Area 51, I suspect given its notoriety worldwide. I can't personally see much of any real super secret stuff goes on there any more. I mean UFO-Seekers might need to hike to Tikaboo peak and use a long lens. But 20 years ago we could read a newspaper headline in a city from an orbiting satellite.
I am betting by now other countries could examine the moles on your arm for a health check now from a laptop in China. It makes no sense to hide the really cool stuff there where everyone is looking. No my spidey senses tell me there are facilities in places none of us have even considered. Maybe in plain sight. The US might be many things. But bad at hiding stuff is not one of them. No I reckon for all the bluster they are quite happy to have as all looking at area 51, all the while the good stuff is elsewhere in another direction.
Having said that, you can bet your last dollar when I one day get to the US I am getting a photo of me standing next to the no pass point. lol

I'd say that covers it.....and you can tell they are no longer testing anything big.....but still testing things. Besides people should understand that the signs are keeping you safe from numerous kinds of contamination.
They showed surveillance tower with the cameras looking at you at the top, you might have missed that bit. Also it is as simple as 123 to triangulate a drone signal back to its controlling source. Pretty sure you would get nailed there two. Your drone would have to b single use, self navigating non interactive and broadcasting the signal. And even then...I am tipping they have thought of that one as well

Well said.....and if people want to get charged with treason and espionage that's fine.....they deserve it. Not sure what is there that is worth dying for....lol.

You're right Diva. One way that probably would work, would be to have a drone driven by liquid fuel, flying a pre programmed route sending back live video stream on a high frequency.. Launched several miles away remotely on a timer setting.
The craft would be considered disposable. Not returning home to its owner. Landing at the base ( or shot down ), after fulfilling its mission.

A lot of things look like UFOs at 27 miles.....even commercial aircraft can appear to hover.....especially to paranoiac nutcases on Tikaboo Peak.
