Blue Petrograd snow

si.jpg

Blue snow since morning lies both in parked cars, and on the windowsills of the upper floors and the ground right up to Medikov Avenue. Eyewitnesses specify that it is not distributed evenly - by waves, as if the "paint" was blown off somewhere and blown by a wind rose. The thickness of the cover is about 1 cm. All the respondents of Fontanka stated that they see this phenomenon for the first time in their life.

"According to our assumptions, it was brought by the wind from the building of the chemical and pharmaceutical research institute, which they began to demolish on Aptekarsky Avenue," the local resident Ekaterina told Fontanka on December 26.

Ice balls in Lake Michigan.
Ice balls spotted on the shores of Lake Michigan | Daily Mail Online
  • Ice balls were seen floating off shores of Lake Michigan in St Joseph, Michigan
  • Three elements must be present for ice balls to form: extremely cold air, water that is not as cold, and wind
  • Chunks of ice break off from ice sheets and are rolled into spheres by waves
  • The Midwest and Northeast are experiencing bitterly cold temperatures with sub-zero arctic air and dangerously cold wind chills

No....I didn't see it as a mystery....and I was driving anyway. It was easy to see that it was a certain type of ice/snow treatment anyway.

I take pictures of many things I don't see as a mystery, but if the green snow covered your entire property or neighborhood don't you think that would be odd?....

I take many pictures too......but I actually haven't taken any images of what I'd call a mystery.

Yes if the snow was green and it covered my yard then yes I'd make sure to report it.

Don't you wonder why the bluest snow is in the slushy footprints?

Not at all, that is to be expected, I've seen that outcome before when dirt is in the snow, it concentrates in the footprints because its more compressed...

Yes that's how it is......it works the same with various snow/ice treatments that are used.
