I didn't take the write-up as fear mongering, I think it's relevant information...Since omicron is claimed to be highly infectious and given the fact that less than 25 percent of US citizens have been recorded as sick with Covid since the pandemic began, I would think that there would be more omicron cases of those who got sick with covid the first time covid than those who already had covid before, who are less than 25% of the population in the US...So then I wonder why this is, could it be lifestyle, that these people who are getting reinfected are living lives where the risk of reinfection is higher, could it be that people once infected are more susceptible to reinfection than those who haven't got covid yet, or is it something else?...

I feel the same way about Trudeau. He sat there in a TV interview and called us misogynistic racists. The leader of the fucking country sat there and talked about his constituents in that manner. I am embarrassed for him. Does he even hear himself talk? I have lost all respect for him.

This is some kind of dick measuring bullshit and these guys are going to lose.

We're already hearing noises out of Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi at 81 has decided to run for reelection. 'For the children' she says through her tardive dyskinesia. Yeah, right. I can't find enough orifices to vomit through. Perhaps she could pay a little attention to the children in her own district which has gone totally to shit. Feudal. My 4 year old great niece got a taste of what happens during the Covid outbreak. A student and a teacher at her day care came down with the virus. All the kids have to stay home for the next week. My niece and nephew are going to have her tested in the next couple of days. Is this a preview of what kids will need to go through from now on?

I get the opposite take on Trump. Mitch McConnell is trying to distance the Republicans away from Trump. What Trump is doing is pretty cagey. He is telling potential voters to send him bundles of money for his re-election campaign. He will keep saying he is running until the bitter end. He doesn’t have to give that money back if he bows out.

He would be better off being the kingmaker. No Republican can run without his endorsement. Also he isn’t the most fit individual in the world. He will be pushing around 78 when the next election comes rolling around.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk offered support to Canadian truckers protesting the federal government’s vaccine mandate on Thursday in a series of tweets.

"Canadian truckers rule," Musk wrote to his nearly 72 million followers, adding "CB radios are free from govt/media control."

Later he added another tweet that said, "If you scare people enough, they will demand removal of freedom. This is the path to tyranny."

Bellis has submitted 59 documents to New Zealand officials in an attempt to secure an emergency return home, but her bid has been turned down. Ms Bellis has said pregnancy can be a death sentence in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan because of the poor state of maternity care and lack of surgical capabilities. Writing in the New Zealand Herald on Saturday, Ms Bellis said it was 'brutally ironic' that while she had once questioned the Taliban about their treatment of women, she was now asking the same questions of her own government. 'When the Taliban offers you - a pregnant, unmarried woman - safe haven, you know your situation is messed up,' she wrote.

Canada's 'Freedom Convoy' of up to 50,000 truckers begins to arrive in Ottawa ahead of a weekend of protests against vaccine mandate for drivers to cross the US-Canada border



On Friday a convoy of truckers that set out from British Columbia on Sunday began arriving in the Canadian capital, Ottawa, ahead of a planned demonstration against vaccine mandates. The truck drivers are angry that, from January 15, unvaccinated Canadian truck drivers returning to their country must take a COVID test before arrival and quarantine once home. Canadian drivers can no longer enter the U.S. if they are not vaccinated, and U.S. drivers cannot enter Canada unless they have received their shots. Over 85 percent of Canadian truck drivers are vaccinated, and the Canadian Trucking Alliance has disavowed the protest.

Moderna launches clinical trial for HIV mRNA vaccine like in Covid shot

The first participants in the Phase I trial were given doses at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, D.C., according to a company statement. The biotechnology company has teamed up with the nonprofit International AIDS Vaccine Initiative to develop the shot, which uses the same technology as Moderna’s successful COVID-19 vaccine.
