They're still fighting about it here. The entire province has lifted all covid restriction except on the transit system and in the healthcare system except Edmonton. Guess who's Mayor happens to be good buddies with Trudeau?

I guess it does not matter because the Premiere has said Edmonton has to lift the restrictions so there will be no division and no confusion within the province. And the city is going to vote on March 8 whether or not to drop the restriction. Both will be approximately the same time frame so, I guess the restriction will be lifted on March 8th.

Biden pledges to veto Senate-passed bill ending COVID emergency declaration

The Senate on Thursday narrowly passed a GOP-led measure to end the national emergency declaration for the COVID-19 pandemic. The 48-47 vote came after several Democratic absences allowed Republicans to eke out the necessary simple majority, Politico reports.

Don't think that means victory just yet, however. The bill still has to pass through both the Democrat-controlled House and the president's desk to become law — and Biden on Thursday made very clear he'd stop any such legislation in its tracks.

"Strengthened by the ongoing declaration of national emergency, the federal response to COVID saves lives, improves health outcomes, prevents economic and educational shutdowns, and supports the American economy," wrote the executive office of the president in a Thursday statement. "Actions by Congress to end these authorities abruptly and prematurely would be a reckless and costly mistake."

"If Congress were to pass this resolution," the statement continued, "the President would veto it."

Does that mean you have to go back to wearing masks and that the pandemic restrictions like, social distancing, no social gatherings, and so on, including border mandates will remain in place?

In British politics, septuagenarians and octogenarians, if they remain in politics at such an advanced age, are generally in the back benches of parliament, or in the Lords. It is rare that they would ever take an executive or leadership post. The last time we had a prime minister over the age of 70 was Winston Churchill, who left the office for the last time in 1955 (at the age of 81). I have noticed that American leaders tend to be getting older in recent years. When the race for the Democratic nomination was underway, ahead of the 2020 election, and it came down to Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden, Donald Trump, at the age of 73 and at that time the oldest president in US history, was the youngest person in the running for the next presidential term.

With respect to the presidency, this has been a disappointing recent trend. Clinton, (2nd) Bush, and Obama began their presidencies at 54, 62, 55, respectively. Prior to that, Reagan was an outlier at 77. Before him, most presidents took office in their early-60s or younger. Naturally, life expectancy was considerably lower a long time ago.

Regarding the US Congress, my amateur analysis is that the power of incumbency to keep from being booted out of office, plus possibly the inability of younger legislators to exhibit the right kind of leadership skills and charisma to rise to the top explains why the old guard always remains entrenched. Consider AOC, probably the most visible young Congressperson. She has a lot of supporters, but overall she is a divisive figure, and far too radical to be a general leader. Also, I don't believe she has gotten much, or maybe even any, legislation passed.

The Senate might have seniority rules that factor into the situation. I'm not sure.

Pfizer is proving that their Covid-19 vaccine is causing deadly adverse effects

A 38 page document recently released describes many different adverse side effects. Why did you and the science table continue to advocate for everyone to get vaccinated if you knew Pfizer is causing deadly adverse effects?

He never did answer the question did he?

My question is why didn't they go/lead with Johnson & Johnson one shot? Why push using the one with deadly adverse effects?

Nope, U.S Presidents are limited to two terms. The current and immediately previous Presidents are making Obama look way better than he actually was.
