How about this argument to consider.
FB data misused by Cambridge Analytica was one of several critical factors (along with Putin's Fake News Trolls) in Trumps slim Electoral College win. They've made changes to help prevent this in the future.
Now Trump is a thorn in the "deep state" "globalists" "elites" "establishment" "cabal" etc..
Facebook indirectly helped fight the deep state/globalism.
We can make arguments either way.. because FB is a tool, like the internet, to accomplish many things, good, bad, everything in between. Of course it's a company and it's looking to expand revenue by way of dating, makes sense, I would do the same in their shoes. It's voluntary. You have settings. It has ad revenue.

The problem I have isn't who won or how. Rather it's the so~called news sources which are owned by a handful of people. An extremely dangerous situation which never should have been approved, let alone forwarded, and what we are seeing is the establishment of a new empire and an extremely dangerous one.
These so~called news sources are directed propaganda. The new empire is one of mulitbillionaires. It's a criminally inspired empire, but then they all are, for every empire is built on the backs of an existing slave population.
This media, the so called broadcasters, they focus not on their own crimes and plots to controll all that you see and hear, but on the supposed failure of our own government which their owners themselves have corrupted, and then they focus on our own individual rights as evils which should be eliminated. The end goal to be it's destruction since only in destruction can there be creation.
The new or next creation of the nation state is to be one of Corporatism paraded under a reformed mask of social justice. Same thing the Communists did, same thing the Nazi's did, and now it's repainted and being rolled out once more as equality and justice for all. Not including themselves of course since they rule the roost they are above the law. Much like the communist leaders were, much like the nazi leadership was. Same thing in many ways.
One of the important objectives is to create a misunderstanding in the minds of the majority, mainly by telling lies, which is all the mass media really does and is really good at doing. They have a lot of expertise in lying. So to destroy the existing system, our government, they have instead corrupted it with what amounts to a bribe for votes scheme, and now they are placing thoughts in the minds of people that election process is unfair.
We have an electoral college for a good reason. It has to be this way or states which don't have large populations will not be fairly represented. It's all for one and one for all. The alternative is the collapse of the republic. So the electoral college is a requirement for fair representation.

The problem is the source of information feeding these supposed facts. Compromised and untrustworthy, if not downright evil and criminal, and so I can put no faith at all in these statistics. The Political Parties, both of them, as I guess they outlawed anyone else from participating, are so corrupt and in the hands of corporate gangs that there is simply now possible means to accurately judge the truth. Surrounded now by cloak and dagger, kids shot in the back of the head, body counts: we are now in the realm of gangster politics of the Nazi's and Communists for real.
I tell people to steer clear of involvement for a reason. Look to history for answers as to why.

Sorry, I guess it's like this. I lived my whole life with highly political parents. I saw politics consume their thoughts and lives while us kids struggled to make sense out of life and to survive in the world they were themselves supporting.
It destroyed love and relationship. The last time I saw this kind of evil was in the religion and that's what politics has morphed into. So it's a tool for evil and it's no longer about helping us as people and as individuals. That's what I see.
