how long have we all Spoken, how many have we seen over the years come and go? At some point or another, We stop keeping track of how long and begin keeping track of who is.

We have seen every archetype, Every Creed, Every ideology, and every agenda. But, I have spent a lot of time wondering what makes a man, more than the sum of his parts, What Puts meaning into being, and what truly gives us worth. Worth is a clever subject. We can maintain, We can uphold ourselves, But Worth is a currency that can only be afforded to you once it's given by others. Call it a stipulation if you will. But a consensus is a must when it comes to the human interaction.

You can tell yourself every day, That you are this, or you mean that to a demographic, But it doesn't come true until it's validated by others.. see. worth isn't something you can entirely bestow upon yourself. It must be given to you, From someone else. A gift from one to another, Validation.

And what is the greatest gift you can give someone else? your validation, Your love. Sure, The world isn't perfect, but let's face it, Neither am I, Nor you. perfection, Is when you begin to Give back. To participate in the human condition. Perfection, Is when you find someone that you love more than yourself. When you do this, You have attained a higher form of understanding and many spiritual avenues will reveal themselves to you.

I am not a Guru. I am A man that has had his fair share of tragedy, but there is one thing I'm not, I'm not selfish, I know that everyone has suffered in this chaotic random dumpster fire that is reality. So, If you are able to reach out, And truly care about other people and understand that they also have suffered. Then in my book, You aren't too far away from attaining perfection. but that's just my thoughts on the whole spiritual thing. SP.

Yea, I know, This song doesn't go with the thread content. What do you want me to do? It's an awesome song. lol

    What is perfect?
    A song can be perfect.
A bird, perched in a tree can be perfect.
    A meal can be perfect.
It can be a perfect temperture outside with a perfect blue sky.
    A flower can be perfect.
    A baby can be perfect..
    A moment can be perfect.
A man sitting in a leather arm chair beside the fire place can be perfect.
    Nature can be perfect.

But yet perfection cannot exist without is contrasts-

    A song gets old.
    A bird must fly away.
A meal is only good until you are hungry.
A perfect temperture with a perfect blue sky will change.
    A flower will sag.
    A baby will mess himself.
    A moment changes.
A man gets tired of sitting.
    And Nature can be disasterous.

So is that a perfect balance?

You're kind of all over the place, at least to me, just scratching some surfaces so to speak, validation, self worth, perfection, mental exercises, the mind loves the spotlight within and without...

    However there's something you mentioned in the latter part I'd like to expound upon;
Some people will defend their suffering and be exalted in their suffering, however in the 'work', one will observe oneself, especially when suffering, and we will notice in time that our suffering is most often made simply of thoughts, nothing more, and as the work continues and the inner dialog slows and ceases one will begin to notice in self-observation that the suffering ceases as well...

No, you are right people do tend to make their own suffering Unique and set it apart from others, and that's a huge issue in society today. Suffering is not eternal, And If it were, Then to that person who continues to suffer without end then they perhaps aren't allowing their suffering to cease. The problem with speaking to others on suffering comes in the form of perceptions, For instance, One man may have conquered depression and overcame his personal suffering, But when we go to offer our advice on the best way to overcome this particular form of suffering, we can be met with backlash.

An example, You see someone suffering from depression, You approach them and begin a dialogue, YOu relate to them your struggles and how you have managed to overcome them, Only to be Told, No-one Can understand the Depth of their Pain and sadness and what works for you to overcome despair may not work for someone else, So then, Society or group consensus forces us to act like Depression is this incomprehensible unchangeable condition of existence that no one is qualified to address publicly. The issue is born of selfishness and pride, Some people want to be unique in their suffering,, To exclaim that the Depths of their sorrow go unmatched by any other.

But Who doesn't understand Pain? Who hasn't known sadness or despair? Why would Someone with experience in dealing with Suffering Not Be qualified to help someone else who is experiencing those issues? Yet Society would have us all believe that we are all unique snowflakes that can't possibly conceive the depths of one another.

That's the great lie of the Modern state of being. That we are all so different from one another, In our Reason, In our action. But the truth is, We all have so much in common, And we are not so different from our fellow man. Those things that truly set us apart from one another that make us truly unique from our fellows, Those are self-imposed constructs Self-actualized limitations. We all Burn in the Same fire of time, We all suffer the same Coronavirus, And, I am different from you, and you are different from Mike Tyson, But Our difference isn't as vast as people would exclaim them to be. We are not so unique from one another that we can not Relate and share the experience.

Postmodernism Would have us believe that we are all so unique and different from one another that to possibly connect to someone and empathize with them would be next to impossible. Because Who Can Possibly understand Your Unique pain? My view is Anyone who has truly felt pain can truly understand it. And that's a lot of people. You know?

No Sir, I don't speak math because Only About seven people here really truly seek to fully expand on the topic. The Truth is, Commonly, Math is not a popular discussion topic. So I leave it laying. That Doesn't mean, I don't deeply love the subject though.

Numbers may be as perfect a thing as we can ever put to use, but even numbers aren't infinite.
Zero, Is in fact not perfect, And it hasn't been since before the beginning. I know you Truly love math,
From someone else who truly Sees numbers as the "most perfect" assessment we have.

Know that Zero is not perfect, It may have never been.

The mind-bendy weirdness of the number zero, explained
    http://mathforum.org/library/drmath/view/68357.html
Zero My Brother, Is in fact, More of a lose "Concept" than a perfect sum.

What happens when someone reaches Negative Zero? Oh wait, They can't Because negative zero does not exist. interesting.

What Is a fraction of Infinity? Even part of the endless Would be endless. Infinity, And Zero., Two states of Numbers, That have Sums that can't be assigned a true empirical value, because they are margins, Their Concepts don't exactly work the same as other values in between.
If math were its own dimension, Zero and Infinity would be their vessel, The container. Not the product or sum themselves. You can't have a fraction, Wherein a fraction of that fraction is infinite Because fracted the sum can not total into infinity and still be finite.
    Numbers really are Magic sometimes.

Oh philosophically, That Is really an interesting concept, I will give some examples,

In martial arts, To attain a state of nothingness is considered very admirable, I have over the years continued to hear quotations about Nothingness and it's desirability. It's a concept that I've heard about philosophically, but I find it fascinating and I'd like to know more about the concept, What it means, and why it's so sought out.

Some Day, If you make a thread on the Subject of nothingness, I will be the first to be there. I want to learn more about the concept brother.

Again, I may be reaching, You could have meant, Perfection simply does not exist. However, I remain resolute, Nothingness is a philosophical concept I have heard about, I would like to know more about it.

And it's true, None are perfect, and the examples we Base our own ideas of perfection on, are Vague, and self-imposed. I think It's not the Act of achieving perfection, But simply the merits one earns aspiring to attain it?

Well, scientifically speaking, nothingness or zero, is perfect neutrality, a powerful point from which one can observe reality without any personal bias.

That makes zero a point of pure submission to reason.

( OK, I am waxing it lyrical here, which reasonable man should never do under any circumstances. But I can't resist a little bit of bu....t. One succumbs to a joy of entertaining curios minds of which many are here. )

Yeah, But hear me out, This is almost Scripted philosophy.. The prompt is, I'm supposed to illude to inquiry about why this is your Stand, That Seeking perfection is futile and Subjective, To the point of being An obscure and bias goal. We would eventually Agree that this is True. So The Real Subject then Becomes, Not what Is the Goal., But "Why" is the goal. And To that, I would have to remit, Because without a Goal, then we are Aimless, Squandering our True potential. That, We can always Improve ourselves and become Better Than we were. And to do less is to Waste that opportunity, Is it not?

There Doesn't have to be a Goal, That is True. But The Benefits of A goal, something to aspire too Are manyfold brother.

Oh I know what you mean. I wrote this just last night.
    ...

I dont take my guitar seriously
when it makes fun of me.
And when I am it's butt of jokes I don't take it personally.

Nothing lived up to my own desires, nothing would, but I did what I could.

I learned new chords and made it laugh
    And it began to breathe.

Check out this new jive cuz my guitar's alive and it's been teaching me.

    Was always a good friend
And it new then we would be best friends. My guitar and me.

I think I'll try a new song and make laugh some more.

Let the good times remember the hard times and push on through.

Trying is half the fun and if it were always perfect there'd be
    ...Nothing to do...
