Metallica tonight at MetLife Stadium (Giants Stadium)

Creepy Green Light

Don't mistake lack of talent for genius
I've been waiting for this show, Aug 4 & Aug 6 - no repeat weekend (they don't play the same song once between the two nights) since it was announced last winter. Opening tonight is Mammoth WVH (Eddie Van Halen's son) and Pantera. My brother cannot go since he is on tour in Europe so turns out my best friend I used to fly with in the Navy is in PA and he's going to go with me. I haven't seen him in 15 years so not only do I get to see & hang out with him but also get to see Metallica tonight. I don't think he can make it for Sunday night but I'll be there. Seats are in upper level but in row 1 which means I won't have anybody standing up in front of us blocking our view.

Only thing that sucks is of course it's supposed to thunderstorm right at the time that the bands are playing so whatever. I haven't seen Metallica since 1994 so I'm looking forward to it. Yay me.

Went there to see Billy Joel and Elton John years ago and we were way up in the nosebleeds - they were the size of postage stamps from up yonder. The old Bendix Diner is still there ( I think ) on Rt.17 if you want to give your immune system some exercise. I never ate there because .... I knew better...... but it is a local fixture.

Yeah, it's going to rain. Gloomy out there
