More Unexplained Booms and Tremors Rock Northeast U.S..

Whatever the cause is, mysterious and unexplained booming noises keep rattling the skies overhead.

The latest in unexplained explosions in the sky comes from America’s northeast, centered around southern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Residents in several counties reported hearing a massive boom in the skies and feeling a tremor on the morning of Wednesday, October 25th, yet the U.S. Geological Survey reported detecting no earthquake activity for either New Jersey or Philadelphia on that day. Military officials in the area likewise offered no explanation for the anomalous booms and said they are unaware of any military activity which could have caused the sounds.

Several NJ residents said the boom was loud enough to shake both their homes and the ground beneath their feet, saying it felt distinctly like something large hitting the ground. Others said the shaking lasted for several minutes. One New Jersey man reported military jets flying overhead in the minutes following the boom, but it’s unclear if the events are related or if he perhaps mistook other aircraft for military planes.

The whole house rumbled! Mystery shaking felt in several NJ towns

ATLANTIC CITY — Shaking was felt around South Jersey on Wednesday morning. The US Geological Survey on Wednesday afternoon said it is investigating a possible off shore sonic boom off the coast of New Jersey southeast of Cape May. Whatever it was, it was felt far an wide. The Press of Atlantic City reported it was felt in an area from Cherry Hill to Wildwood around 10:20 a.m.

“I was sleeping and it woke me up, so I wasn’t sure if I was dreaming or if something shook my house,” Jasmine Rodriguez, of Browns Mills said. Rodriguez is an employee of Townsquare Media, which owns New Jersey 101.5. Williamstown resident Laura Tortella said she felt her whole house shake.

The US Geological Survey, as of about noon, did not show any seismic activity on its website. National Weather Service officials say there’s “nothing weather-related” that would cause the booms.

Kent Dunn said we're vibrating the core of the Earth like crazy. I suspect the boom sounds could be the planet's magnetic bands whipping the atmosphere like a bullwhip. All the negative energy from the global population could be looshageddon.
It comes from the French louche, which also means “squinting,” and that word comes from the Latin lusca, meaning “one-eyed.” Imagine a louche pirate with an eye patch that you just can't turn away from. It's pronounced like a little kid trying to say "loose," like "loosh."

The booms could be a lot of different things......as the "earthquakes" felt in PA & NJ could easily have been well beyond those two areas. The 5.9 magnitude quake in Virginia was felt in my area as was a 3.2 magnitude centered in south of Montreal in upstate NY.

Besides the writer of the article is a conspiracy theory fruitcake.......and likely a paranoiac.

Sonic booms travel quite a distance and can go very far depending on weather conditions,
altitude quickness of sound barrier broken for example.
I have heard booms that made me wonder if a house or fuel tank blew up some where near by, then a few minutes later I will hear the sound of a jet approaching from the direction of the boom.

So true.....if its not seismic its likely just more sonic booms due to military exercises off the coast.

Ft. McCoy is the military base about 100 miles to our west and those jets often fly over our area.
