The Utah division of the Bureau of Land Management said that it received credible reports that the monolith was removed on the evening of November 27 by an unknown party.[19] All that was left was a triangular metal piece that used to be on top. A witness said he saw a truck carrying a large, rectangular object driving away from the site.[20]
