Nathan Phillips

Mr. Phillips chose to go between the two groups, in his words, to diffuse the situation with his song.

In his own words, he moved forward, and they moved back, so he moved forward again.

Sandmann simply chose not to be intimidated backward. In Sandmann's words, he did not understand why he should be expected to move out of Phillips' way.

Note that Sandmann did not move in front of Phillips to block him. Phillips moved in front of Sandmann to try to make Sandmann step back or step away.

This was an adult, trying to bully teenagers. For those defending Phillips, watch how, when Sandmann refuses to get out of his way, Phillips raises his drum and beats in the kids face. If he was so peaceful, why beat the drum right at that kid's nose?

The teenagers were NOT shouting epithets and slurs and insults. That was the Black Isrealites AND the people who were WITH Phillips (who told these KIDS to "go back where they came from" and "go back to Europe".)

Adults were bullying a bunch of high school kids, and then those same adults gave their video and testimony to the press to try to make the kids look bad. These adults gave false statements.

Phillips himself said that the kids surrounded him. YET, by his OWN admission, Phillips had moved INTO the group and the group moved AROUND him to get out of his way. It was NOT that the kids came up on Phillips and moved around him. HE moved into THEM! Then, gave the press a story that made HIMSELF out to be a victim, when in fact, he was the bully.

The adults AND the press should be ashamed of themselves.

People jumped all over these kids ONLY because they were wearing the uniform of the "other" team, i.e. they wore MAGA hats.

The school investigators came to the right conclusion...

Investigators Say Kentucky Students Did Not Initiate Confrontation

A private detective agency hired by the diocese that oversees Kentucky's Covington Catholic High School says there's no evidence that the school's students instigated a conflict with a Native American man near the steps of the Lincoln Memorial last month.

The boys, some of whom were wearing red "Make America Great Again" hats, were seen in a video shouting, chanting and grinning at a Native American man, Nathan Phillips. ("Make America great again" was President Trump's campaign slogan.) After the video went viral, the boys faced immediate condemnation from many who said they were intimidating Phillips. Now, a report by independent investigators retained by the Catholic school the boys attend has exonerated the students.

"Our students were placed in a situation that was at once bizarre and even threatening," Diocese of Covington Bishop Roger Foys said in a letter to parents this week. "Their reaction to the situation was, given the circumstances, expected and one might even say laudatory."

The firm hired by the diocese, Greater Cincinnati Investigation, concluded that students made no "offensive or racist statements" to either Phillips or a group of Black Hebrew Israelites and that they didn't perform a "Build the Wall" chant. Investigators said they came to these conclusions after interviewing over 40 students and more than a dozen faculty and parent chaperones, as well as reviewing footage from all major news networks as well as YouTube and Vimeo.

The New York Times. Wood has said that Phillips will be sued for "lies and false accusations" about Sandmann.

In a statement after the incident, Sandmann said that he didn't feel like he was blocking Phillips' path and that it was "clear" that Phillips "had singled me out for a confrontation." Phillips told NPR that the statement was "a young man trying to alter his story to make himself look good."

Investigators said they tried to interview Phillips at his residence in Ypsilanti, Mich., but over the course of six hours, he never appeared and he has not responded to their request for an interview. "Phillips' public interviews contain some inconsistencies, and we have not been able to resolve them or verify his comments due to our inability to contact him," they said in the report.

Now the courts will decide, thanks to the pathetic actions of the US media, this incident was blown way out of proportion, the media should be held accountable for their actions...

Lawyers for Nick Sandmann, high school junior who faced off with Native elder on Lincoln Memorial steps, sue Washington Post for $250 million

Lawyers for 16-year-old Nicholas Sandmann, the Covington Catholic High School junior who faced off with Omaha Nation elder Nathan Phillips on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial last month, have filed a $250 million lawsuit against The Washington Post, one of many newspapers to report on viral video of the incident.

“This is only the beginning,” said the attorneys, Lin Wood and Todd McMurtry, on their firm’s website, noting that it was the “first lawsuit” on Sandmann’s behalf.

The suit was filed in U.S. District Court in Kentucky, Reuters reported, and it states that the sum – which is for “compensatory and punitive damages” – is what Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos paid to buy the newspaper.

Video of the youth standing and apparently smirking at Nathan Phillips, an indigenous activist and elder who approached him singing and playing a drum, went viral in January as multiple forces collided after the Right to Life March, which the teen had attended, and the Indigenous People’s March, which Phillips had been a part of.

In the lawsuit they say Sandmann was vilified for being white, Reuters said.
