Very biblical. Wish we had some of that on a national level. Take the medical coverage away from a whole list of people for say, a year, just to let them wallow in it. Maybe take one of their kids and put them in a facility somewhere for an indeterminate period of time

Jane Fonda Arrested While Protesting in D.C.

After pledging to hold weekly demonstrations over climate change, Jane Fonda was arrested on Friday as she was among those protesting in Washington, D.C. on the Capitol. Video of the actress being placed in handcuffs and escorted to a police vehicle was posted to social media.

"Today, the United States Capitol Police arrested 16 individuals for unlawfully demonstrating on the East Front of the U.S. Capitol," Eva Malecki, spokeswoman for the Capitol police told The Hollywood Reporter. All were charged with crowding, obstructing or incommoding, she said.

The actress was protesting with the group Oil Change International over the climate crisis. "I will be on the Capitol every Friday, rain or shine, inspired and emboldened by the incredible movement our youth have created," Fonda wrote on her own website on Thursday.

I wonder how she'll get to Capitol Hill. Large SUV convoy perhaps?

I'm sorry but since when is the United States responsible for everything the middle east countries do?...That whole region has been fighting for hundreds of years, does the US need to be involved in all of their fighting in the 21st century?...Some people and the media often complain the US has their hands in everything then hypocritically complains when the US doesn't get involved or gets out of involvement...

Agreed but we do have some culpability. The media doesn't exactly paint a clear picture. We blew up Iraq and made a fine mess. Maybe the situation had stabilized before the first precipitous withdrawal and then poof, Caliphate.

We only have a fraction of the troop strength in Syria now. You could argue that 1000 troops or less means we have already withdrawn.

But I wonder what the hell will fill the vacuum if those last few do go. Probably Iran.
