Hmm well you've just implied I'm both a sucker and a dingbat. Shall I now give out my precise location and add fool to the list? Lol Suffice to say that I'm about as far from Malibu as one can get.

Having done some research around the time periods that I recall, I'm going to put the matter to rest as brush fire smoke meeting unusual (not anomalous) meteorological conditions at the time. If it does occur again, I'll post pictures for the sake of curiosity.

Brushfire smoke was just an idea....didn't mean to imply anything....sorry.

But it would be a good idea to ask the health departments that place the warnings what is causing them. As an environmental scientist that sounds like the best idea.

I noted some brush fire conditions around those times and I suspect meteorological conditions may have been present which caused the smoke to behave oddly. If you are interested in looking into it, I can give details. I just thought maybe everyone would lose interest now the matter is less conspicuous

OK I will see what I can compile. I don't have anything definitive...its just the most plausible I can piece together. May take me a bit. Have compile sources and get facts straight.
