If this is true then this next Star Wars movie is going to be the worst...

Palpatine is going to be alive in the upcoming film, the Emperor, thus rendering everything the heroes of Lucas’ films did as a bunch of failures who accomplished nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Marvel is so good at making blockbuster movies that they are going to make a Star Wars movie for Disney...

    ...

Star Wars: Marvel boss Kevin Feige to develop film for Disney

The man behind Marvel Studios' string of comic book movie blockbusters is to develop a new Star Wars film, a senior executive at Disney has revealed.

Alan Horn, co-chairman of Walt Disney Studios, said it "made sense" for Kevin Feige to work with Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy on the project.

The film would be part of "a new era in Star Wars storytelling," Horn told the Hollywood Reporter .

Lucasfilm and Marvel Studios are both subsidiaries of Walt Disney Studios.

Horn described Feige - who has been president of Marvel Studios since 2007 - as "a die-hard fan" of the Star Wars universe.

Under Feige's leadership, the films that make up the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) have made more than $22 billion (£18 billion) worldwide.

Anyones better than Rian Johnson. Id take Uwe Boll before him. At least his movies would be hilarious to watch, Johnson is just boring. Luckily it looks like his ""SW trilogy" is on the backburner, for now. Hopefully he doesnt get to do it, weve suffered enough of his crap with TLJ.

Problem is are they good enough for a franchise like Star Wars, or do we just get more mediocre, "safe" movies like the Force Awakens. My guess is the latter. Disney isnt George Lucas. Please prove me wrong.

Marvel has proven themselves in making quality and very entertaining movies...Disney purchased Lucasfilm in the year 2012 and have produced only 5 Star Wars films counting the new upcoming film, they are struggling to make a good one, and here we have Marvel who have made 18 films since the year 2012 generating billions and billions of dollars from quality entertainment...Lucasfilm making fewer movies than Marvel you would think they have had plenty of time to get it right...I still think the best film they put out since the acquisition is Rogue One...

The Story of 'Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker' Begins with 'Allegiance'

It's two months until "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker," but you don't have to wait until opening weekend to find out what's next after "The Last Jedi" - you can find out now in Marvel's "Journey To Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker - Allegiance."

Set in the one-year gap between the two movies in the Star Wars timeline, it picks up from General Organa and her crew's initial escape from Crait to the opening scene of "The Rise of Skywalker." No, no spoilers here for you to worry about - but new insight can be gained about Poe, Rey, Rose, Chewbacca, Finn, BB-8, C-3PO, and more.

With the first issue on stands and three more to come out this month at a weekly clip, Newsarama spoke with series writer Ethan Sacks about where this story is going - and what other pieces of the Star Wars mythos it'll bring to play, such as characters from Disney's Galaxy's Edge.

Isn't the solo one the movie that raised that almost Meme like question, Who shot first Solo or the other guy?
Any movie that people walk away from and then begin pointlessly dissecting the scenes just to figure out concepts that don't really matter to the narrative must suck, I havent seen it.

Yeah but did you read this spoiler below?...Its not really a spoiler any longer since that final trailer came out lol...They made it blatantly obvious who is returning, not just Lando Calrissian...This new movie may be quite good, I know I'll watch it but, really, bring 'him' back?...

Maybe, But, In fairness, Endgame was unique in that, It was like the citizen kain of our generation, I know it was a comic book movie, But, It really was that important and impactful by a few regards, It would be hard to beat endgame by any fair metric, I'd think. If we are truly lucky, We will get to see a few more movies with that good of a set up ever lol,

J.J. Abrams Explains Why He Brought Back the Knights of Ren in The Rise of Skywalker

It looks like the mysterious villains will have a bigger part to play in this final chapter.

There are plenty of questions that The Rise of Skywalker needs to answer, like the long-standing mystery of Rey's origins, which has been one of the new trilogy's biggest puzzles ever since The Force Awakens. Another headscratcher introduced in that movie was the enigmatic group known as the Knights of Ren; the masked figures Rey sees in her vision. They were conspicuously absent from the following movie The Last Jedi, but director J.J. Abrams has confirmed that they will make an appearance in the final movie.

In an interview with Esquire, Abrams elaborated on the Sith-like group (of whom Kylo Ren was once the leader), and why he simply had to bring them back for The Rise of Skywalker.

"They’re characters that, when we came up with them in Force Awakens and had very brief sighting of them, it was something that we had a lot of ideas of sort of further adventures with them, backstory, you know, and all sorts of things that were not the focus of the central story, and never made it into the movie," he said. "And Episode VIII, The Last Jedi, didn’t address that, at all, and it just allowed for us to bring them back in."

One fan theory suggests that the Knights of Ren might actually hold the key to unlocking Rey's true identity, although it remains to be seen whether that will have any bearing on the way they are portrayed on-screen. And just because they're coming back, doesn't necessarily mean we're going to find out everything about them: Abrams also confirmed that the Knights will keep their masks on throughout the movie.

"I mean, they’re best kept more mysterious than familiar," he said, "which is just to say there aren’t going to be a lot of scenes with them taking their masks off and hanging out and eating sandwiches, but it felt like I definitely wanted to see more of them than we had, and I felt happy that we got a chance to do that in this movie."
