    The alien says: 'trust us'...

What if tomorrow we heard those words on news outlets and social media across the world, that an alien species has publicly contacted humanity and said 'trust us'?...How do you think the world in general would really react?...How would you react?...

In my opinion, the reaction should not be a hastily one and any reply back to them should not be given quickly...There are so many things to consider, and for one, it would appear to me that through the conditions and situations made known to us in regards to various alien beings possibly visiting our world, there seems to be a continuous lack of ambiguity by these visitors...Concepts like trust and friendship could be easily misrepresented or misinterpreted, there could be a lack of 'something' in that exchange or because these aliens are so far more advanced intellectually and technologically they could be highly selective within their existential structure and interactions...They could be 'pre-wired' not to deviate from certain prerogatives or protocols, maintaining a certain standard and with that maintaining certain personal power and prestige...If this is the case then that may exist deep in their psychological structure and behaviour within their societies and their advanced technology highly developed and directly applied to amplify all of this...

Then let's say for the sake of argument that the major governments of the world have had contact with ET or a few different ET species, let's even say this began during or after WW2...What has come from this contact, knowledge, technology, weapons, help?...If our governments have had or still do have contact with ET then there obviously hasn't been any help in saving our planet, in fact destructive activity is being amplified across the world...I think any notions and hopes of ET helping us are futile, if there was help coming it would have certainly materialized by now, but why should they help?...Going back to what I said prior, maybe they are also 'pre-wired' not to interfere, maybe they have seen this happen to planets countless times if some of these aliens are millions or billions of years old...The word 'trust' could imply something quite different to them than it does to us...

What did Ronald Reagan say? "Trust but verify."

They should help to protect the genetic library. There's millions of species on this planet, not just one.

Psychologically, When someone asks you to trust them they are compensating.

If Aliens asked me for trust, The rational response would be fear. Without a doubt, the shit would be about to hit the fan.
I can only hope such a scenario never transpires in such a way.

There's a hole in that, when it comes to dealings between nations on earth, trust and verification of that trust is not too difficult to obtain...Verification of anything an alien being might say to us will be extremely difficult to obtain, I would go as far as to say impossible in the short term...Time is a good test for trust and can verify many things but we would be taking some added risk by letting time be our verification, it could turn out peachy but also could work in their favour with us holding the short end of the stick...

It's what I call "space brothers syndrome, " The Human fantasy is, The aliens the other life form is something we as humans haven't just looked for, We have longed for it. We don't want to be alone in the universe, If we could find other intelligent life, The true pull isn't. " Oh, they are aliens" It's "finally, We are not alone" some people will be inclined to blindly trust.

It's not a true trust though, It's like when you meet a new girlfriend and you have to give her the benefit of Trust. Even knowing at any time anything could happen.

"Space brothers syndrome" Isn't a real thing, It's just what I like to call it. But, there will be mixed reactions to them when they finally present themselves. The Question I have is, Not "Will they" I just hope it's in our lifetimes, I want to experience it.

But, To be fair, I don't think anyone would literally be able to truly trust an alien. I mean think about it, It's one thing to welcome them and say hey have you seen Disney world? It's another to have them living in our own homes working at our jobs with us, Because, We wouldn't really know them or their intentions, Not to mention, How many generations would it be before they began breaking our laws and there were criminal versions of them all over the place?

What happens when teenage a gangster alien shoots little Jason to death because he was bouncing a beach ball that clashed with Gangster aliens colors? The question is in the Ethics of law, At what point would they have equal rights to us? Would they deserve them? What happens when a human Has to shoot an alien for endangering their family, Which to that alien was just his way of saying, Hey, What's up?

They wouldn't be socially compatible with us. And honestly, it would be impossible for them to be I'd think.

I don't trust anyone, not anymore.

In truth, I think they already know we wouldn't trust them. That's why they stay hidden.

I kind of look at it like this, People may think it's xenophobic, but it's just nature, Ducks don't hang out with alligators, Even in nature, Turtles don't run around with dolphins.

I don't think we could ever really integrate an alien culture into human society, but that's just me.

I think if visitors revealed themselves to us publicly we should keep in mind that they came to our planet, we didn't go seeking them out, so they should be the ones putting more on the table that backs up their claimed intent...

Real thinking here, People have this star trek notion of aliens, that they would wait until we are ready.

My assumption is, If an alien race was interested in taking us over, they would simply buy us out. Let's face it, For the right technology, governments around the world would bend a knee to them.

    Greed motivates.

You only have to cast an eye of what instigates fighting among ourselves to realise all of those subjects would be under threat and some. The one good thing would be how we would all be reading from the same page, focused like never before as our in house would be put on the backseat. The human race as I see it would fail to except a foriegn race as it struggles over its own breeds.

How many limbs if any would also play a role and if it had eight, things would most definitely not go well. What colour, anything near one of our own would cause a huge problem for us, as that hue would then claim a religious type higher ground for sure.

Our collective would see this as a threat to our health and safety and just think of the method statement.

At current point in human history i dont see any meaninful ongoing contact happening with alien intelligences, anymore than we would want to invite a primitive cannibalistic tribe to live with us in the city. Why would they want to interact with us on a daily basis?

Maybe in a couple of hundred or a thousand years it could be different, but now there is little chance for that, unless these beings would be highly benevolent, patient and tolerant, cause we certainly are not. The exchange between equals as it would. In our current state imo we would fear them and/or worship them.

Also there could be interactions if there are similarities, convergent evolution, some similarities in cultures and other aspects etc. Some different mammals do get along even on our planet, can raise their babies. However if its some form of a weird tentacle monster, i dont think many people would want to hang around with it for too long.

Animal comparisons aint too good tough, because we are talking about beings that can reason here. If you can reason, you can always come to some solutions.

Unfortunately if there are huge differences in appearances this could be a problem in accepting them, especially if they use those words 'trust us' while drooling some white liquid out of their mouths and something looking like tentacles are waving around...lol

I know that's a little extreme but safe to say its probably best they not walk around in one of our cities right away, give it a little time for people to adjust and accept the situation...

Let me also point out that there are two sides promoting differing views on our ET visitors...Tom Delonge mentions sporadically about possible good ETs but makes it a point to say that the intelligence behind UFOs are negative but then we have Steven Greer who says that there may be some bad ETs but mostly ETs are good and we should be accepting of them...Does Greer sound like he's selling out humanity over wishful thinking or is Delonge being overly cautious?...

Bet it wouldn't be too long before someone found out what they tasted like, screw like and die like. Be a catastrophe to meet anything on a par other than ourselves. I gather the differences could be infinite as we know so little but maybe just the human in me, I lean towards our kind being spread across the universe, different stages of course but not yet old enough to connect or that we are not yet ready . That is our knew dimension and at a time when many beliefs will be proven justified as those of our ancestors are today.

It's a given that time will spread it so thin that you only notice it enough to ever mention it but never get the flavour.

Our reality is that our so interpreted consciousness could be a side effect of a more important cause. Organising like the ant does, shifting stuff and knocking out eggs, still doing them hive jive whilst thinking we are somehow in control of our destiny.

Just depends how big you are as to how you see it.

I think we would all eventually learn to trust the aliens but it would take years, maybe even a generation or two. Every time a big change is introduced into society like the telephone or the internet, for instance, it takes a long time before people finally become comfortable with it.
