We believe That When we die, That's it. a great many of us. believe that death is an inescapable fate, And those people may be right. The human consciousness is something we don't fully understand, We can't even seem to get Artificial Intelligence perfected, And all of this boils down to, at its core, Our inability to understand ourselves. If you think about it, The Human Consciousness is an amazing paradox. It's a bunch of Atoms, Trying to understand themselves.
But I ask you, Can the Human consciousness be Transferred into another living mind? In 2017 An international team of scientists demonstrated what they call the first brain to brain direct communication by sending the words “hola” and “ciao” between two people thousands of miles apart. If such a feat can be achieved. are not those people consciously communicating with one another from within their own minds?
How much further a step would it be, for one consciousness to overtake the other? To Technologically possess an individual in this way? Or, To completely format their memory engrams Engram (neuropsychology) - Wikipedia replacing them with one's own?
Should we fear a time, When government punishes unruly people by simply formatting their minds and putting the memory engrams of this guy in our heads?
It would solve many of the world's problems with crime, But at what cost. The original human consciousness is gone. I don't fear the future. I'm just curious about it. There are many things to consider here. Those were just the justified misuses of the technology. How long will it be before that technology ends up in the hands of criminals themselves? Some Crime boss just starts kidnapping people to market their bodies to other criminals?
Idk. The future could be a scary place I guess. But then, We can't live our lives in fear of a future that hasn't happened yet.
