If they had anything concrete the House would have presented it, three years of Presidency and they came up empty...If there were something, anything substantial and concrete showing a serious enough crime to remove the President all of these impeachment proceedings would have been bipartisan from the beginning...President Trump isn't the only President elect that has done shady things, Congress doesn't have clean hands either, none of them I bet, doesn't mean its right but it does show they are no better than him by the way this whole impeachment has carried on...

...
I probably won't live long enough to see it, but I suspect that, eventuall,y history will come to regard Trump as a rather good President.

I admittedly have to cringe when I make this comparison but think there's validity to it.

FDR was successful primarily because he knew how to speak to people directly using the media of the day. He had a dental insert he'd stick in before giving those fireside chats so he didn't whistle through a gap in his teeth when he spoke. Came right into the living room and explained to you it in a way previous Presidents didn't. A rich, privileged patrician that managed to actually make a connection to the people that he served. Imagine that. If he had Twitter he probably would've been pretty slick with it.

In his lifetime he was vilified by many, considered an epic liar, purveyor of dirty tricks, probably a socialist at least because of his work programs - and there is truth in a lot of that. Had there not been a convenient global war his detractors might have been proven correct. Turns out he actually was dangerously naive when it came to certain aspects of foreign policy - with Josef Stalin in particular. Yet at the same time he had an intuitive grasp of how to walk the tightrope, so for someone who could be naive he was also brilliant.

I'm not ready to call DT 'brilliant' in any sense but he certainly has figured out a few things, probably intuitively, that many of the people that hate him the most have yet to even become aware of - because they've spending too much time talking, usually lecturing us on morality and what we should be thinking.

I like what I'm seeing in the Western world.

No longer does ones voice or private life have the effect that it once did, the woke PC brigade are losing meaning.

Judge a person on performance and not on personality.

Right up my street.
