The Bible states that before bringing judgment, that God always sends a prophet to warn the people.
(In the last days it appears that there's going to be a large number of "prophets" from all walks of life; Joel 2:28 ) .
In the Old Testament, many of these prophets were beaten (like Jeremiah) and many of them were also executed.
It's my understanding that God often chose people despised by the society's that he was sending them to.
It's possible that God chose these people because he didn't really want the cities that he was going to destroy for their sins, to actually repent.
So, he chose people he knew would be ignored, but nonetheless they would still shout out his warnings.
Acts 28:26-27 - " 'Go to this people and say,
"You will be ever hearing but never understanding;
you will be ever seeing but never perceiving."
For this people's heart has become calloused;
they hardly hear with their ears,
and they have closed their eyes.
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
hear with their ears,
understand with their hearts
and turn, and I would heal them.'
Now, please consider for a moment how this is going to apply in the End of Days.
In the End of Days, we know that there is going to be a huge falling away from True Christianity, that the Bible calls a "great apostasy" (which according to 2 Thessalonians, occurs right before the Anti-Christ is revealed.)
This "great apostasy" absolutely disgusts God and soon after we see the Anti-Christ -- the most murderous being in the history of the world -- worse than Hitler, worse than Genghis Kahn, come to power over the world and he is going to kill lots of people who become Christians during the Tribulation.
(Many of these Christians were probably "lukewarm" believers, "left behind" from the rapture to go through the Tribulation.)
-----
So, leading up to the worst judgments in the history of the world and the rule of the Anti-Christ (other than the flood of Noah's time), is the "great apostasy" of Christianity.
I don't think this is a coincidence.
-----
Without a doubt, we see a "great apostasy" occurring in America today with the "Emerging Church" movement, brought in by "feel good" preachers like Rick Warren who DISTORT God's grace, and MINIMIZE the call to repentance and holiness -- what we end up with is a "lesser gospel" that is NOT ENOUGH TO SAVE SOULS.
I don't believe that Rick Warren is ultimately responsible for this "lesser gospel".
I believe that Satan is.
CHURCHES, PAY ATTENTION:
While you may believe you're safe and secure because you condemn false teachers like Rick Warren and Joel Osteen, the truth is is that you ARE STILL A TARGET OF SATAN; and if Satan can corrupt your church -- while making you feel safe and secure because you condemn the "Emerging Church" movement -- you too can fall to the "great apostasy" and NOT EVEN REALIZE IT.
The moment you distort the grace of God, and minimize God's demands for repentance, and minimize (or worse, don't even mention) God's call for all believers to HOLINESS, you too become a part of the "Emerging Church" movement -- even though you yourself condemn it.
Revelation 6:1 - I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, "Come!" I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.
In recent times, many have thought that the Rider on the White Horse was the march of Radical Islam, but is this wrong?
Could the Rider on the White Horse actually be the Satanic spirit of the "Emerging Church" movement, seeping into "fundamentalist" Christian churches, who find themselves now "falling away" from the Holy Bible for a "lesser gospel"... and they don't even realize it.
-----
Churches -- God has been sending you prophets -- I know, because I've read their articles on other websites, and I've been sent their emails -- and yet, churches, you ignore them, and you continue to fall into apostasy.
Churches, look at the people God is sending you with these warnings:
Are they people that you scoff at or simply ignore?
Remember what was said in Isaiah, and repeated in Acts.
Acts 28:26-27 - " 'Go to this people and say,
"You will be ever hearing but never understanding;
you will be ever seeing but never perceiving."
For this people's heart has become calloused;
they hardly hear with their ears,
and they have closed their eyes.
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,

and turn, and I would heal them.'
Does this apply to you? Are your hearts calloused and is your kindness and openess to Truth non-existent?
If this is the case, then it's possible that God doesn't actually want you to repent just yet -- maybe because he is greatly displeased with how easily deceived you were by a "lesser gospel".
Now, God may be preparing to put you through the Tribulation.
