Hi Toroid, I saw this video a few days ago, and it has been discussed on several sites on which the general consensus is that they are drones.
…. For my part, I am not convinced that it's so cut n' dry. For the obvious reasons of what range do these drones have? why fly them in such numbers? quality drones as these must be are not inexpensive so why risk flying them in the dark?.. I would have thought that if they were drones then it must be some kind of exhibition by some kind of model flying club or something like that, but apparently someone local in Casper reached out to the Casper Air Modelers club (they are an RC club in Casper) and asked them if the video was part of their event which actually kicked off on the 26th and they responded they had nothing to do with the lights filmed in the video.
Another 'theory' is that they are no more than that old favourite.... 'Chinese lanterns' … and to be honest I would put that explanation slightly above the drone supposition, merely because they do have that sort of familiar feel to the film. … But then, they seem to be travelling too fast for that. I know that they only travel as fast as the wind that they're in but imo the light that they are giving off seems to be too uniform [ie not inconsistent enough to be a simple flickery light being tossed about in a strong wind]
...And then we have the helicopter claim that seemed to be backed up by this...
Squadron Of Military Helicopters 'Invade' Casper [VIDEO]
which made me nod, until I realised that the dates didn't match? in fact they were about 10 weeks apart and so unless there has been a little 'intentional mistake' in the dating of the video [so that they didn't match] … even if it weren't the same event. that does not rule out a similar occurrence such as the fleet's return or other mass movement from the base etc? …. But the thing stopping me from settling on the mass movement of helicopters is the complete lack of 'helicopter sound'! none whatsoever… I 've watched the clip a few times now, and can definitely say that there's no helicopter sound! I know that they are not flying directly above the camera/witnesses but they do not appear to be far enough away that we wouldn't hear even a slight muffled sound from such a large fleet of helicopters.
… So what the heck are those things? … any of the above? well could be but as stated I have my doubts about all three. I also considered atmospheric plasma balls a'la Hessdalen , Min Min etc, but uniformity of shape/size and direction make this seem an unlikely proposition too imo. … And of course one has to consider 'the flock of birds flying high enough to be illuminated by the last rays of the setting sun' … but then it seems much too late in the day and the illumination too stark for that scenario to work imho.
So all in all, without any more information I have to say that I just don't know what we are watching on the film , and have to say that though it is likely that ET has nothing to do with the event, i can only state that in my opinion it is a film of a bunch of genuine UFO's ! ... well for now anyway. And that to me it is a little reminiscent of the old 1952 Delbet Newhouse Tremonton, Utah footage that has yet to be adequately explained away by the debunkers for almost seventy years... most sceptics claim that this is footage of high flying birds … but analysis by the professional airforce experts ruled that out years ago ...
Cheers Buddy.
