This is a thread to discuss UFO sighting recorded in the past. Historical UFO sightings are strange and bizarre events rarely seen today. I begin with a well known and credible event Nuremburg April 14th 1561.
In the morning the townsfolk saw the sky fill with spheres red crosses and tubes the objects were seen moving about flashes of light were seen in the sky. several were sent crashing into the ground in smoke and fire. the event was witnessed by the entire town and recorded in a wood carving.

Here we see a close up of the crash of some of them.

Many skeptics claim the event was sun dogs. or mass hysteria. but in every recorded account the details remain constant.

there were several follow up events to this mass sighting. the 1st happened in Switzerland the following year.

one again the sky filled with spheres. this time they did not seem to fight rather they "Darted to and fro "
then Berkshire in 1661

10 years later once again the same event happened.
What are we to make of this.it would be easy to discount it as sun dogs or a trick of the light but 3 consistent events in 10 years. events that by all accounts rival the Phoenix Lights.

"ufo sieges" while rare still happen to this very day, two modern examples are the colares island ufo invasion of 1973 and the hudson valley sightings of the 80's, both were seen by thousands of people, just like those ancient events

one of the most controversial sightings is that of the "dancing sun "in Oct 1917 over Fatama.
the sun was seen to change color and dance in the sky. Thousands witnessed it. however religious context and dogma cloud what was seen.
