UFOs: skeptics, disclosure, and contact

It was mentioned in one of those videos that Grusch is supposed to be on some kind of town hall meeting soon with General Milley of all people! That should be interesting. I think we shouldn't write Grusch off, just yet...

I think Metabunk needs some better moderation. Those folks happily go off the tracks with their speculations while they accuse others of speculation and derailing threads. It is a weak sauce. Their poor ability to interact in a civil way with those with different opinions in a forum setting will cause them to lose smart folks over time. They make ridiculous speculations and suffer from many biases. They are useful for debunking the spoon fed BS videos that many UFO enthusiasts wouldn't bother with. What they are unable to debunk or discredit, they just ridicule like a bunch of poorly behaved children. Still, I think Mick's book has some value; the forum: not. The arrogance of some is almost without parallel; that's an ugly face for science. Trying to address all of these shortcomings with them would certainly just make them hostile and take things hopelessly off topic, so not worth interacting with them; they will remain an example of how not to approach a topic, if you are a scientist or have any technical knowledge at all.

I got the most recent Need to Know podcast and think I will have to stop listening to it.

In regard to the recent incident over the Gulf and those 'lighting balloons' or whatever they were Couthart said there was a second F-22 with an independent sighting and video. This is what Matt Gaetz was shown.

Wouldn't you love to see what it looks like?

Agreed something is not right about all that and it was in a training area off our own coast again. Point is though, Coulthart and especially Zabel have become so shrill calling AARO and Kirkpatrick out as liars I really think it has damaged their credibility, or at least revealed a lack of objectivity.

They may be exactly right like a lot of other media content producers but I can't say I care for the tone and think it detrimental. PArt of the nonsense we've been hearing might just be misinterpreting how the government works, people are so impatient that delay automatically means conspiracy. It'll be very interesting to see how this plays out. I have no idea when the ICIG investigation will be complete but you'd think some time this year.

So, that one wasn't recorded on super secret sensors, and Gaetz was barely able to get to see it, and the public doesn't get to?

Funny over at Metabunk they think the Trents deliberately set up a ladder by the wires! They were asked to by the photographer who was trying to see what it would look like if the UFO was a model.... D'oh..... They are really dragging that poor UFO through the mud.

In that same podcast Coulthart admitted that considering the advanced nature of those F-22s if they want to withhold certain data in the name of national security that is understandable. That sounds reasonable to me.

The problem is that there was a disconnect - the two fighters were operating independently and both reported about the same thing and both had sensor data. A FOIA request apparently revealed an email that mentioned video from one of them which had been denied publicly.

The problem I mentioned with that podcast is that they got so shrill about it I switched it off. They could say the same things differently and tone it down. That's not being critical it's an observation - it's cable news show format.

Some government agencies work smoothly ( in theory I suppose ....) but many do not and we've probably all experienced some form of that. What is interpreted as conspiracy might just be a cluster**** DoD style. I think until the ICIG investigation is done we may as well play with our yo-yos.

IDK what to make of that. An IG found Grusch's claims 'credible and urgent' .

Not so much for Lue. Maybe hanging around Tom DeLonge could perhaps impugn his credibility just a tad? You think?
