Not sure what to make of this.

The distortion around the object could be a forcefield or bad old-style CGI.

It could be a drone and faked, but I'm in the "real deal" or CGI camps.

The shaking is typical of fake video so I'm more in the CGI camp right now.

this video was made in 2002
when cgi wasnt common place and looked bad, and drones dint exist

Drones have existed for a long time. We have had RC aircraft since 1898 (demo by Nicholas Tesla).

The UFO would just need an engine pointing up in the center.

Don't believe that is what it is, but I could build something that acts like that with 1980s technology.

My eyes aren't the greatest, but all I see is a stationary dot. Could be legit, or could be a spot on the lens or lens cover.

i mean drones weren't common place and hard to find
though i think this is an likely explanation

It looks like some sort of a balloon that someone is pulling around.

The balloon hypothesis is plausible but does not answer the prolonged vertical movements.

It kind of looks like it's bouncing in a wire or string during the second half of the video, the first 30 seconds or so it doesn't move, but when it seems to .are a significant move the camera is aimed too low, can't see what's happening...

The bouncing up and down looks like someone is tugging on it.

It looks like they are aiming away when they need to change a setting to move the balloon lines.

It was hard for me to see, appears to be very subtle. I'm not an expert on this topic by any means.
