I was aware of this for quite a while but always just assumed it was bad fan production. Boy was I wrong. It takes a bit of getting used to. Vic Mignogna absolutely nails Kirk. Chris Doohan does a passable Scotty. But the rest, well it's like they took original uniforms and stuffed them with mashed potatoes. Watch them in order and give it time and you'll realize that my God, they really ARE classic Star Trek episodes. Spot on reproductions with everything and the writing is actually pretty good. The you'll hear and see all sorts of familiar people. There's a definite line between professional actors and the fanboys but after a couple episodes I sort of forgot about that and we really enjoyed it. Only 4 episodes in so far. If you like TOS give it a chance, it's much better than expected

Just finished Season 1 Star Trek:Strange New Worlds. Very clever so far, enjoyed the season finale. Real Trek like TOS. Well worth watching

Enjoyed it. Some is hackneyed, definitely has a weird paranormal edge to it. Designed around Christopher Waltz and a character very similar to the Nazi in Inglorious Basterds. No idea if it's a one off or if there'll be another season. We enjoyed it.
