Putin's 'special military operation' has revealed that the Russians are not very good at waging war. A lot of stupid people on the internet are predicting that if Putin is successful in Ukraine he is going to continue westward into NATO territory. However, after the heavy losses suffered in this campaign, a conventional war waged further westward would require another lengthy build-up of troops, as his forces in the region are going to be utterly spent. Even if they could manage another months-long build-up without going bankrupt, I doubt that Russia's military would be particularly effective against modern NATO forces. Desert Storm this operation is not. The Russians are going into Ukraine without even GPS or night vision across the bulk of their forces. Putin has gone all-in on this one campaign against plucky little Ukraine, whose own forces are nowhere near on a par with NATO, and even then it is proving a struggle for Russia to prevail.
