I just checked. The particular shoes I managed to buy back in March of this year are no longer available. Also, the entire Payless inventory at Amazon appears to be dwindling.

Around here the store has to have a street door to be open - Dick's, Best Buy, Macy's are open. The shops inside the mall are shuttered. JC Penny just went out forever and so did the local Sears.

Do the closed stores relocate, or do they go out of business completely?

For those of us old enough to remember, we're just going back to the way it was before they invented the huge megaplexes.
    Strip malls and standalones.

Merits, Sears, Montgomery Ward, Bradlees, Caldor. Now I don't have to get up, or even get dressed

Too many alike retail stores. Took a teeny tiny virus to show that change is but a simple breath away. What was no longer is. Good bye big boxed and chained estabs and hello to the new and improved ozone friendly amazonian ceo type billionaires. Ahhh the new world order.
