Alec Baldwin Accidentally Shoots and Kills Someone

Alec Baldwin screamed and cursed at crew on Rust set, rushed colleagues' work in a way that compromised safety - then 'changed his story' after he killed Halyna Hutchins, prosecutors say in bombshell new filing

Alex Baldwin was a foul-mouthed bully on the set of Rust and rushed crew members in a way that compromised safety before shooting cinematographer Halyna Hutchins dead, court documents allege.

Prosecutors in New Mexico have filed new documents saying the actor's behavior on the tragic set contributed to 'safety compromises' that led to the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in October 2021.

The government's filing is in response to a legal motion by Baldwin asking to throw out the charges of involuntary manslaughter he faces in the killing. He is scheduled to go on trial in July.

Baldwin, 66, had 'no control of his emotions on set,' was 'inattentive' during firearms training and 'frequently screaming and cursing' prior to the deadly incident, according to court documents obtained by People.

'To watch Mr Baldwin’s conduct on the set of Rust is to witness a man who has absolutely no control of his own emotions and absolutely no concern for how his conduct affects those around him,' Prosecutors wrote in the filing.

'Witnesses have testified that it was this exact conduct that contributed to safety compromises on set.'

Prosecutors say they also argue that Baldwin 'shamelessly lied' and changed his story after the shooting.

Baldwin has pleaded not guilty to an involuntary manslaughter charge in the fatal shooting of a cinematographer during a rehearsal on the Western movie set.

They yanked the plea deal before the timer expired. Curiouser and curiouser.

I could see a perfect storm of inflated egos, a kid our of her depth as an armorer and that a*****e being over the top. I've seen similar behavior in high end lawyer'a offices and in a former customer of mine. Sometimes you get someone who is just an ogre and everyone around them is in a perpetual state of 'flinch' waiting for the next explosion and not giving their work the correct amount of attention because of it. That's how mistakes get made.

That said, WTF was she thinking bringing in live ammo? What possible purpose could that serve? I think she and maybe some others were plinking with the goddamned guns for the movie - that's what it sounds like. Stupid and even stupider to mix it in with blanks. They are so physically dissimilar I don't understand how a blank could be confused for a live round unless someone simply didn't look. That's why she got locked up.

Right or wrong, this is not going to help his case in court...

Alec Baldwin furiously PUNCHES anti-Israel protester's phone after she hounds him to say 'free Palestine' on camera and asks 'why did you kill that lady' inside NYC coffee shop

Alec Baldwin has been caught on camera punching the phone of a pro-Palestine protester who accosted him inside a New York City coffee shop. The protester, who hosts an anti-fascist interview show called Crackhead Barney & Friends, posted a video of interaction on Twitter. 'Alec can you please say free Palestine one time,' the protester repeatedly shouted at Baldwin.

I watched the judge's video again. Jesus.

The front wall of my club has holes in it from unloaded guns. I've taught a number of people how to shoot and pound it into their skulls that ALL guns are loaded always. Even when you are being safe as can be things can still happen. I was shot in the groin my a wildly improbable ricochet once. No fun.

That kid deserves what she got. Baldwin's an arrogant p.o.s but that isn't a crime. I still think he bears some responsibility but now that they threw the book at the kid his lawyers may have an easier time of it. It was her job to make the weapon safe but he's been in other movies with guns, I find it hard to believe a real armorer never gave him The Talk.

Now 'Crackhead Barney' claims Alec Baldwin 'maimed' her during coffee shop confrontation as she appears in surreal interview wearing a diaper and no bra

Performance artist Crackhead Barney sensationally claimed in an interview with Piers Morgan that Alec Baldwin 'maimed' her, damaging her neck after she attempted an ambush interview with the beleaguered star this week.

Barney began Wednesday's interview by telling the former CNN host: 'I've been waiting for you Piers f***ing Morgan!'

The provocateur wore a blonde wig, a neck brace, sunglasses with bright red lipstick and white paint all over her face. Her top was pulled up revealing a practically bare chest, for the piece.

Her arm was in a sling and was using a crutch with her other arm. She went on to reveal to Morgan that she was wearing a diaper just for him.

On Monday, Barney, how boasts around 100,000 followers on Instagram, went viral once again after she accosted Baldwin in a Manhattan coffee shop.

She yelled expletives at him and demanded that he say the words: 'Free Palestine!' Eventually, the 30 Rock star had enough and slapped the phone out of her hand.

Alec Baldwin, 66, WILL go to trial after judge denied a motion to dismiss actor's involuntary manslaughter case following death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on Rust set

Alec Baldwin's trial for involuntary manslaughter in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins will take place in July after a judge denied a motion to dismiss the case on Friday.

The 30 Rock star, 66 - who was recently seen with his one-year-old granddaughter Holland - is facing a maximum sentence of 18 months in prison if found guilty of manslaughter.

Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer in New Mexico rejected arguments made by the star's lawyers, Luke Nikas and Alex Spiro, according to Variety.

In a statement following the judge's decision, Baldwin's attorneys expressed, 'We look forward to our day in court.'

Sommer listened to arguments from both Alec's lawyers as well as prosecutors in court earlier this month on May 17 in Sante Fe, per NBC News.

One prosecutor, Kari Morrissey, stated that 'the actor has responsibility for the firearms once it is in their hands.'

Alec Baldwin and wife Hilaria ROASTED over decision to film reality show with jokes about her fake Spanish accent and him 'needing the money' amid Rust shooting lawsuit: 'Shouldn't this be on Telemundo?'

Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria Baldwin were brutally roasted online after announcing they are launching a reality show - as he prepares to go on trial for the fatal Rust shooting.

The series is billed as a way to give fans a glimpse into the couple's 'ups and downs' while they raise their seven children, the eldest of whom is only 10 years old.

Their news was met with widespread mockery as social media users joked that Alec, 66, agreed to the project in order to bankroll his legal defense.

Many observers took aim at Hilaria, 40, by bringing up the notorious scandal when it emerged in 2020 that she had faked her Spanish heritage.

'You would think it would be on Telemundo no?' quipped one commenter on X, formerly Twitter. 'When does, um...shooting begin,' wrote another.

'Anything to make people forget about the court case, I see,' an X user theorized as another exclaimed: 'Omg! No.'

'That sounds....Hilariaous....:),' an X user wrote, while another wondered: 'When he goes to jail do the cameras follow him into the cell or do they have to wait outside,' and a third predicted: 'Divorced by 2027.'

The show is set to premiere in 2025 on TLC and will follow the couple as they 'open up their lives for the first time and bring everyone in to join in the non-stop love, laughter and drama,' per a press release.

Will Alec Baldwin's fake-Spanish baby-factory Hilaria drag their seven bambinos to meet him in JAIL to film this revolting new reality show?

Emetic Alec Baldwin and his fake-Spaniard bambino-factory Hilaria are selling out their family of nine in a last greedy grasp for cash with a new reality show, 'The Baldwins'.

You know who won't have their own family reality show? Halyna Hutchins, the cinematographer and young mom who Baldwin accidentally shot and killed on the set of 'Rust' in 2021.

Alec is preparing to stand trial in a matter of weeks, charged in New Mexico with Hutchins's involuntary manslaughter.

TLC – home to wholesome cultural touchstones such as '90 Day Fiancé' and 'MILF Manor' – is footing the bill for this most repellently narcissistic show, due out next year.

Which makes me wonder: How will filming continue if Alec ends up in the clink ('Rust' armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was sentenced to 18 months behind bars on the same charges in April)?

Just imagine the hijinks.

Alec quietly sobbing over news of yet another positive pregnancy test.

Wife Hillary – a basic white girl from Boston who spent a few summers in Spain and now sounds like Javier Bardem – corralling her Latinx brood as they run roughshod round the Santa Fe jail.

A TLC press release promised – threatened? – that the Baldwins will 'open up their lives for the first time and bring everyone in to join the non-stop love, laughter and drama.'

Because there is nothing funnier than the drama of a family torn apart – Hutchins's then 9-year-old son left psychically speechless for two days upon learning of his mother's death.

And what about the non-stop love Alec demonstrated in that smug sit down with ABC News reputation-launderer George Stephanopoulos where he seemingly implicated Hutchins in her own death?

'Everything is at her direction,' Baldwin moaned in December 2021. 'I'm holding the gun where she told me to hold it, which ended up right below her armpit.'

In another vomitous show promo this week, Alec 'It Wossont Me' Baldwin personally teased: 'We're inviting you into our home to experience the ups and downs, the good and bad, the wild and the crazy.'

Such wild and crazy ups and downs include:

* The apparently cash-strapped (what else could explain this TLC travesty?) couple reportedly trying to unload their Hamptons pleasure palace for a deeply discounted $19 million (original asking price: $29 million).

* Hilaria and Alec squawking at photographers on the side of a highway, before strutting for said photographers in oh-so-posed pap walks donning pantie-hugging fishnets… in mid-January New York City!

* And fluffy family man Alec calling his then 11-year-old daughter Ireland, from his previous marriage, a 'thoughtless little pig' in a 2007 voicemail.

Tight purse strings and plummeting social capital truly make the most unsightly among us even uglier.

Alec Baldwin's Rust shooting case STILL on track for trial in July as judge denies request to dismiss involuntary manslaughter charge for THIRD time

A court ruling on Friday put an involuntary manslaughter case against Alec Baldwin on track for trial in early July after a judge denied a request to dismiss the case on complaints that key evidence was damaged by the FBI during forensic testing.

Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer sided with prosecutors in rejecting a motion to dismiss Baldwin's, 66, case - after dismissing a previous motion last month in May.

Defense attorneys had argued that the gun in the fatal shooting was heavily damaged during FBI forensic testing before it could be examined for possible modifications or problems that might exonerate the actor-producer.

The ruling removes one of the last hurdles before prosecutors can bring the case to trial with jury selection scheduled for July 9 in Santa Fe.

Attorneys plan to call on testimony at trial from a selection of more than 60 court-approved witnesses.

In court on Monday, Baldwin sat between his attorneys and thumbed through papers, wearing glasses and close-cropped hair. The trial is set to start tomorrow with jury selection and is scheduled to last ten days.

While the actor sat in court, his wife Hilaria was spotted alongside their daughter Carmen picking up lunch in New York City.

Some potential jurors claim they can't 'be fair' in Alec Baldwin 'Rust' shooting trial

Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer kicked off the jury selection process in the Alec Baldwin "Rust" shooting trial by asking a pool of potential jurors if they felt they can't be impartial about the case.

One potential juror responded, "I have read the case extensively and looked at it and reviewed it and don't feel I can be fair." Another possible member of the jury said they can't, "due to biases regarding unions." They also noted they would be very biased towards Baldwin.

Judge Sommer told the potential jurors that the trial would last more than one week, and asked if the timing would cause any undue hardships.

Moments later, Special Prosecutor Kari Morrissey and Baldwin's defense attorney Alex Spiro had a sidebar with the judge and two potential jurors were excused.

Baldwin faces up to 18 months in prison if convicted of involuntary manslaughter.
