Finished The New Batman Adventures. Have just begun its successor, Batman Beyond. In the past, I was turned off by the unique costume and the fact this Batman is not Bruce Wayne. But I have since developed a more expansive attitude. I now appreciate the logic of depicting Batman once Bruce Wayne had become too old. Probably also watching several Robins come and go softened me up as well.
So far, it looks good. And I'm looking forward to seeing the bat-tech of the future.
I'm re-watching the 2005 film right now. Good story and good portrayal by Keanu Reeves.
Good point. Most other times he's been portrayed or voiced by Welsh actor Matt Ryan. The original character I believe is described as being from Liverpool.I rewatched that movie a few weeks ago, I've seen it at least twice before, its very entertaining...Yeah Keanu Reeves was pretty good as Constantine, although I think an Australian actor would be truer to the character...

I now have a collection of all the Constantine centered video content, both live action and animated. This includes the one season NBC TV series, and the two Justice League Dark films. Omitted is Legends of Tomorrow, as it it is not truly centered on him, though he is a character. Also left aside are the innumerable episodes of various series where he pops up.
I'm thus not a true collector. If I were, I'd also seek the print comics, posters, and miscellaneous memorabilia. Rather, I just like the character as he appears in supernatural themed stories.

If you want more black, female. etc. characters, create new ones. That shouldn't be hard to wrap one's mind around. That is the win-win approach. To do otherwise is to try and intentionally alienate people.JJ Abrams wants to make another Constantine movie but using a black actor to play the role of Constantine...He has a script and is pushing Warner Bros. for his Bad Robots group to make the movie...

There's no moral or valid social reason to change the identity of characters. If the goal is to promote diversity, the best way is to use imagination to create new characters which will become immensely popular. The other route is just nasty, and, contrary to the superficial intent, will increase negativity towards the group and the actor being used as a replacement.
I'm about to commence my rewatch of the Constantine TV series. An important fact about it is that it wrapped up in an acceptable manner.I rewatched that movie a few weeks ago, I've seen it at least twice before, its very entertaining...Yeah Keanu Reeves was pretty good as Constantine, although I think an Australian actor would be truer to the character...
