Re: the bees. It is spring. Bees swarm and when they swarm like that they don't pay much attention to people. The bee guy easily got the swarm out of the car and he now has a new hive. When I was a teenager I came home from school to a big drama because the woman who took care of the kennel and lived in a trailer behind the house was in an apoplectic fit over a swarm of bees in a tree behind her trailer (about 20 feet from the trailer). She was deathly afraid of bees and some other things. She had called my dad and he was driving back from town to take care of the bees. He had a spare bee hive so he just got them in the hive and put it with the other bees.
Living behind our house was stressful for the woman, who was a dear friend. She left her back door open while she was cleaning and the mule came in and since she was standing in the hall screaming (also afraid of horses et al) the mule got scared and ran into the tiny bedroom. The call my dad got that day was a hysterical "The mule is jumping on my bed!" Poor mule was still a colt and did not understand because she was raised with a litter of puppies (big dogs) and still thought she was a dog.
