First World issues. We feed our pets French Toast flavored bull d***s.

Now, I won't be tasting them but they really do smell like French toast.

Only 62 percent of veterinarians and 44 percent of dog owners know that these “treats” are, in fact, uncooked, dried penises harvested from slaughtered bulls and steers

Are they any good with butter on them ?

I had a lot of running around today, drove west 30 minutes for a quick service call at a small business with one of their CNC routers, software issue I fixed...Then an hour in the other direction east to the big city to get some things for my mother, then 30 more minutes further east to a pet store that I wasn't planning to go to however the closer one was out of the items I wanted to get for my dog...Lots of driving, and a cold day too, not much traffic on the highway either, so set the cruise control and played music for the long ride back home and hit one rest stop along the way for the dog...

Today as my heartbroken twins deal with the loss of derby a box arrived. I quickly took it to the den. Sure enough my Santa Fe super chief arrived.
I can wait for Christmas to see my boys take it to places only limited by the imagination.

Just got home, we took the dog for a walk. I hear an odd sound. It's some kind of duck call. It becomes strident. One of my neighbors is summoning me with it.

See, this isn't likely to work because I am not a duck. I'm a lot of things, but not a duck. Seems that's the only noisemaker she had and was calling for help.

Her 82 year old husband decided to go up on the roof. He naturally complemented that fabulous idea by walking past several new looking ladders and selecting a shaky, short stepladder that was old when Ike was president.

I got him down and know him a bit more intimately now for sure.

You obviously have a firm grasp that you're not a duck. That's superior level deducktion. :D

Fortunately his wife was dialed in and scared shitless. No doubt in the Multiverse just one or two jumps to the quantum left bad things happened.

- dialed in and prepared with an emergency duck call. Got to admit, that one came in over the left field fence .......

Social distancing does not involve playing assface with anyone. As far as I know anyway.

She doesn't have a cell phone or know any of the neighbor's numbers?

Since I've had the coils replaced in my car its been running great until recently with a very random issue...Its a V8 and runs better with this colder weather however very infrequently now a coil drops out or something, the car will stall out, but restarts instantly, usually does this when its idling, but very infrequently and randomly, it happened three times in November...My dash has a digital readout that doesn't tell me much information, only that the problem was with one or more coils...I have to get my code reader and see what the computer says, I just haven't done that yet because its happened so infrequently, I've procrastinated...I need to get it fixed before the problem starts getting worse, its electrical so yeah I'm sure it will start getting worse sometime soon, and posting about it will help remind me lol...

I took my car to the shop earlier today and had them look at this issue and give me an estimate on repairs...Turns out that the problem was an air flow sensor that, once it got hot, was failing and would stall the engine...Also turns out I had that sensor replaced earlier this year in the spring and it was still covered under the replacement warranty....So 30 minutes at the shop today, my car is fixed and it did not cost me anything...

I don’t drive my car much. It is a 2018 Hyundai Sonata with just under 4K miles on it. This spring the battery began to lose its charge. When I took it in, it was miraculously under warranty. Thank God. Those batteries were around $250 plus labor to replace.

My 2015 F150 has an auto start/stop feature. More common on a lot of vehicles now and not my favorite feature. It'll shut off the engine sitting at a traffic light even with the air conditioning or heating on. Or not sometimes - and if you poke enough buttons it'll tell you why. Level 1 Diagnostic (and may as well scan for life forms while I'm at it) This feature puts a slightly different sort of load on a traditional battery and changed it's life cycle. So the battery itself underwent some changes and the prices reflect it. Acrylic Glass Mat is the New Thing and expect 4-5 years out of it maybe up here in the northeast.

I noticed that feature stopped working altogether recently and the end result was I replaced the battery. Bought it cheaper from Rockauto than I could at the dealership for the identical Motorcraft part #. It took two minutes to put in and I didn't even have to stoop over.

The part they replaced in my car yesterday was 110 dollars and a half hour hour labor to install, I'm glad it was a warranty item too...I don't remember what their hourly rate for labor is, but I know it isn't cheap, they do good work though...

I drive a small diesel Nissan Micra. Here in the UK petrol (gasoline) is $4.40 a gallon (£1.16 a litre). Diesel is about $4.80 a gallon. It is thought there will be such a loss of tax income for the gov with electric cars that a per mile tax will eventually be brought in.

Yesterday I had the two front tyres (US tire?) replaced, each was $72 (£55.00). The existing ones were Continentals and I was quoted $120.00 each if I wanted them.
The rear passenger tyre had a slow leak due to a nail in the centre, it was repaired for $33.00 (£25.00).

It is about four years old and was a basic model but the stop start has rarely operated (the dealer gave me a long explanation about how the engine had to reach a certain temperature and the ambient temperature must be above such and such and so on).
Otherwise it has lots of effective electronics, the lights auto dip for oncoming traffic then return to full beam, the handbrake is automatic so if you stop uphill the car is held for two seconds when you take your foot of the brake to let in the clutch, it has a radar behind the front badge that gives you a warning peep peep if the car in front is suddenly getting closer, auto lane warning and a display of the current speed limit.
