US military shoots down 'object' flying in territorial waters over Alaska

I kind of thought maybe this one needed it's own thread. It is a unique set of circumstances.

The only outlet I heard yesterday that even mentioned a connection to government UAP study was The War Zone. AE is the only social media I indulge in and I am probably living in a cave. But we have people humping glowing objects swarming Navy destroyers and they are automatically alien even when the ships involved at the time knew they were something else.

And now they actually shot one of the goddamned things down. I would have expected orgasmic frenzy. Jeremy Corbell probably had to be tied up with his wallet in his mouth so he doesn't 'swaller his tongue. I probably haven't waited long enough but as I said, the irony is absolutely thick. We see a glowing light and no way can it be a Chinese whatzit, but we shoot one down and automatically we assume it is. Fair enough in light of recent events.

Am I correct in that the admission of this shoot down came 11 minutes into an unrelated press conference ?

U.S. Retaliates For Chinese Spy Balloon By Releasing Spy Inflatable Flailing Arm Tube Man

U.S. Retaliates For Chinese Spy Balloon By Releasing Spy Inflatable Flailing Arm Tube Man

BEIJING — After being humiliated on the national stage for allowing a Chinese spy balloon to pass over the U.S. unhindered, anonymous sources confirmed the Biden Administration is striking back against China with its own secret weapon: a spy inflatable flailing arm tube man.
"They won't see this coming folks," Biden reportedly said to his generals. "They'll be so distracted by the wacky, wild zaniness of this charming tube man that they won't even notice the sophisticated surveillance equipment we have stashed inside!"
"Just look at that guy waving around unpredictably! So funny!"
Sources say the inflatable arm tube man has infiltrated the highest levels of President Xi's cabinet, having charmed countless government officials with its silly wiggling and waving. The U.S. intelligence community hopes to glean valuable intel about China's plan to take over the entire world which they will then do nothing about.
At publishing time, the tube man had been discovered after a catastrophic malfunction due to being made cheaply in China.

I was curious about the commercial airline traffic that might be in that area so looked it up on FlightAware. I understand that it was flying at an altitude of 40K feet ( at only about 40 mph it seems right now ) and that's the justification for bringing it down. Fair enough - that's what was repeated ad nauseum yesterday. Understandable.

But it doesn't look like much going on up there. X marks the shoot down. Are there that many over the pole flights ?

US F-22 shoots down 'unidentified object' over Canada after Trudeau gave the order to intercept it: US military is monitoring up to two others

  • Justin Trudeau, the Canadian prime minister, confirmed on Saturday afternoon that the object had been shot down over the Yukon
  • Trudeau said that Canadian jets and U.S. F-22s were scrambled, with the F-22 shooting it down: the debris is now being recovered
  • The shooting comes a day after Biden ordered another 'unidentified object' be shot down over Alaska, and a week after a spy balloon was hit in South Carolina

Why didn't Canadian planes shoot the ufo, was there a reason the US military was involved in Canadian territory?...

Airspace SHUT DOWN over Montana: FAA declares skies above Havre 'National Defense Airspace' - hours after F-22 shoots down 'small cylindrical object' over Canada

Airspace SHUT DOWN over Montana hours after US F-22 shoots down 'unidentified object'
Justin Trudeau announced on Saturday that he had requested U.S. and Canadian forces scramble to intercept 'an unidentified object that violated his country's airspace'. The 'unidentified small cylindrical object' was eventually shot down by a U.S. F-22. The incident came a day after Joe Biden ordered another 'unidentified object' be shot down over Alaska, and a week after a spy balloon which crossed the U.S. was shot down off South Carolina. Trudeau tweeted that Canadian teams were now working to recover the debris from the Yukon. 'I ordered the take down of an unidentified object that violated Canadian airspace,' he said. The involvement of U.S. jets raised eyebrows among some Canadians, with questions asked as to why Canada itself wasn't able to deal with the situation.

I think we're getting a pretty obvious taste as to why the UFO game ain't what it used to be.

Balloons of all stripe have been and still are in use for all sorts of reasons.

Also, you can see why the military has a good reason to be mum on a lot of this. I saw a retired Marine general of some sort being interviewed last night repeatedly say that the hue and cry in public media is the whole point behind this and that it should be handled quietly out of the public limelight. I agree. In fact, the talking head that was interviewing him almost seemed to realize that he's right mid sentence and got real quiet after that. I did a few laps around the cable news channels and there are a lot of empty headed food-trough-wipers out there asking dumb questions repeatedly and not listening to the answers. The good news is we can all rest assured that within a week the blame will rest squarely on Trump's shoulders where everything bad belongs.

To be fair, in the midst of WW2 there were various member of Congress and news print that let loose some truly disastrous information that could've brought the house down. Only thing that prevented it was the lack of immediacy we have now. Hell, even then the Japanese were trying to float balloons across the Pacific to infect us with disease, start forest fires or maybe just kill a few people. They were successful in the last item - they killed a family on a picnic

Mystery airborne object remains over Montana, says congressman who claims DOD is waiting for fighter jets to 'get eyes on it': Military says it's monitoring situation after re-opening airspace

Montana congressman Matt Rosendale (top right) said the Department of Defense told him they were tracking the unidentified airborne object and hoping to 'get eyes on it' in the morning before potentially shooting it down. NORAD, the North American Aerospace Defense Command, issued a statement confirming a 'radar anomaly' was seen but said jets 'did not identify any object to correlate to the radar hits.' Montana governor Greg Gianforte (bottom right) said he had been briefed at the White House about an object in his state's airspace. The airspace over Havre, a town of 10,000 people, 30 miles south of the Canadian border, was shut at 7:50pm before being reopened about 50 minutes later while authorities scrambled to intercept the object. The incident came hours after Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau confirmed an object had been shot down by U.S. F-22s in Yukon, as part of a joint Canadian-U.S. operation.

I'm sure the Chinese are having a good laugh on us.

problem with shooting down a weird Chinese spy device is that after you do it you want to do it again an hour later.......

The problem now is any time someone sees a UFO they will blow it off.."just a Chinese balloon." I wonder if a move will happen to declare ALL UFOs as balloons.. such as the tic tac and the Nimitz sightings.. just balloons..

US military takes down another unidentified flying object violating North American airspace

The U.S. military on Sunday shot down another unidentified flying object over Lake Huron in Michigan.

It was the third time in as many days and the fourth overall since Feb. 4 that an "unidentified object" was shot down in North America. Rep. Jack Bergman, R-Mich., confirmed that the U.S. military has "decommissioned another "object" over Lake Huron. Rep. Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., tweeted that the object had been "downed" by U.S. Air Force and National Guard pilots.

"Great work by all who carried out this mission both in the air and back at headquarters. We're all interested in exactly what this object was and its purpose," Slotkin tweeted. "As long as these things keep traversing the US and Canada, I'll continue to ask Congress to get a full briefing based on our exploitation of the wreckage."

"We’ll know more about what this was in the coming days, but for now, be assured that all parties have been laser-focused on it from the moment it traversed our waters," she said.

What a bizarre collection of weird shit happening essentially all at once. What a bizarre collection of quotes from people who at least sorta know what they're talkin' about.

Our old buddy Lue has been busy commenting. I haven't paid a lot of attention, but he doesn't seem to know any more than anyone else. Not that I expected him to...

The media attention may be the whole point. A couple things I have been wondering:

If they recover the wreckage of any or all of these things, will they admit it? Can we believe what we hear? Frankly this is a situation where I actually want secrecy and no, do not want public bloviating. This may give some insight as to why the military traditionally dismissed things like this. Maybe they don't all the time and shut up for good reasons.

These things are literally just going with the flow, with the wind. Does that mean that the ones we've shot down were 'already in the pipeline' when the giant balloon flew over? Think they got the message and grounded them? Time will tell. Importantly, did we get all of them and how many have gone by before ?

How in the hell can they find something that small in such remote areas ? I believe there were far more assets involved than just the fighters and tankers. They have those U2 Dragon Lady reconnaissance that can actually follow and look down on objects even at 60K feet and are loaded with all sorts of sensors.

They may be balloons of some sort but they're awfully small and a very, very long way from anywhere. That implies some tech that I am sure we're interested in. Despite what we've heard in the media it wouldn't surprise me if the first giant balloon was already dried out somewhere and that object over Alaska sitting in a hangar.

'There is no indication of extra terrestrial activity': White House laughs off claims aliens could be behind mystery objects invading US and Canadian airspace... but admits it still hasn't identified three UFOS shot down over weekend

Karine Jean-Pierre dismissed any claim that 'extra-terrestrial activity' was behind the three 'takedowns' over Alaska, Canada and Michigan over the weekend. She then made a joke about how she 'loved' the E.T. movie - while the Biden administration and Pentagon have still not revealed any details about the recent objects separate to the Chinese spy balloon. Pentagon officials held a press conference on Sunday night in the middle of the Super Bowl, when the majority of the country was distracted, where they failed to answer many questions. General Glen VanHerck set off a flurry of speculation when he was specifically asked if it's possible the objects are indicative of extraterrestrial life.

White House hits Trump admin for failing to find China's spy craft program: 'They did not detect it'

President Biden's administration hit former President Donald Trump's administration for failing to detect China's ongoing surveillance balloon program on Monday.

National Security Council strategic communications coordinator John Kirby delivered an update on the issue after the U.S. shot down four high-altitude objects over the past week, including China's surveillance balloon over the coast of South Carolina. Kirby noted that China's high altitude surveillance program was operating during Trump's administration, but said "they did not detect it."

"When President Biden came into office, he directed the U.S. intelligence community to do a broad assessment of Chinese intelligence capabilities and ensure and to ensure that we were working to detect and to protect against them," Kirby said during a White House press briefing.

"We were able to determine that China has a high altitude balloon program for intelligence collection that's connected to the People's Liberation Army. It was operating during the previous administration, but they did not detect it. We detected it. We tracked it. And we have been carefully studying it to learn as much as we can," he added.
