to avoid spamming i have put my opinion of all pictures from @August's pink ufo to the most recent photo in one post:
1:i think we are once again seeing lens flare on this picture, in original screenshot object points to the sun, this is also a common lens flare shape
@nivek 's answer to my lens flare post: object once again pointing to light source (Sun), shape has been observed before
2: already explained by @1963 as a clay pigeon (stop reposting pictures please)
3: this one could be a real incident, i have read about it some time ago, aerial encounters are always difficult to explain
4: not so sure about this one, mostly because its a detail-less incident, possibility of being a hoax is high
5: there have been people saying recently on the web that this is a christmas colored wheel, frankly i aint so sure, though i must say its quite a messed up picture, the object looks 2D in some parts and 3D in others, wich i find very bizzare
6: looks like a burn in the negative, the polygonal appearence suggests it was likely intentional
7: know hoax, in fact it was one of the earliest cgi hoaxes ever! only being beaten by the 1991 castle crop circle ufo footage
8:spotlights shining in a low cloud layer, have seen this many times on my town, you can actually see the beam in the top right light if you squint
9: despite what many ufologists say i think this one is a hoax, object looks very much like thrown plate
10 (start of page 26): thats a very bad picture! with such a horrible camera it was very easy to stick cut paper into a window and photograph them, wich is probally what we are seeing here
11: quite a headscratcher, when i first saw this picture many years ago, i laughed at how obviously its a top hanging from a thread, until i saw very recently a detail: the UFO has lighted windows! in hindsight i have no idea how i missed that and if was an idiot i would blame the non-existent "mandela effect", sadly that we have no details in this mostly bizzare case
12: oh boy! years after seeing this picture i just noticed something i had never seen before on it too! look at the bottom light it is above a stick wich is below it, proving without doubts that its a cgi hoax
13:a truly strange picture, though i cant shake the felling it could be a hoax, otherwise its a real UFO i guess
14: note the similarity with the puebla picture, weird huh? also i think theres a high res version of this picture in the rense.com site though i am to lazy to look for it

i have something to help: most of these old pictures come from two sources: 1: wendelle stevens 2: michael hesemann, the first died in 2010 and his archive was sold to a lot of people, the second exited ufology permanently in 2008 due to belief causes and i have no idea what happened to his archives, why he dint make them open to the public

Hi guys, this might be considered a little off-topic on this 'actual photo thread' ... so apologies to start with, but for a very long time I've been interested to the point of near fascination in the much talked about "Nick Pope missing photo".
You are being redirected...

...and yes, this picture is only a artist interpretation of what is claimed to be the original [as Nick himself states that it is so close... it could be termed a facsimile .. if true?]
Well, I say that i'm very interested in the picture and surrounding story but in all truth, whether genuine UFO or not ... just like all the other good images with great provenances ... it would never be heralded as 'the smoking gun' because of course no-one [either proponent nor disbeliever] could deep down accept fully 100% that it was the holy grail that we all crave without actually being their when the photo was taken. ... And yes the picture does look impressive, but then i'm sure that we have all seen those clever fakes that abound our reading matter and clutter the www. that are just as striking. The story that accompanies the picture too .. has the required authenticity. .. "The two guys just happening across the surreal sight, taking a snap and sending it to a local newspaper before it reached the relevant MOD office where it was examined and declared to be a genuine UFO"... Even the declaration that " it's not the Americans and not the Russians, therefore points upwards toward ET-land".. plus the "hanging in the 'Mulder-and-Scully-office before being made to disappear on orders from the top' is entirely feasible to me at least.
..... But then the thing that actually fascinates me about 'this claim', is that even now... 28 years after the fact, when the facsimile-picture and Nick Pope's constant retelling of this story on a myriad of web-sites , TV shows and at all of his convention appearances .... [aka , .. the massive publicity it has enjoyed over the years!] ... none of the main protagonists in this 'potentially earth shattering event' has ever come forward to support good old Nick's story.??... No, not either of the two actual photo-snapping-witnesses, or even any of the normally-un-shy guys from Scottish Daily Record. .... Surely we are not supposed to believe that they have been covertly shut-up by the mib , when Nick himself is constantly shouting about it to all that will listen at every opportunity that he gets?... I don't think so!
Which is the reason that I find something decidedly iffy about this whole 'Nick Pope Claim' , and thereby association to this flag raising anomaly ... I personally have doubts about Nick Pope himself, and his true motivation for his total mmersment in the ETH/ufological genre. Is it solely for the fame and fortune? ... or could it be a lot more nefarious than that, ie one of those dastardly furtive disinformation agents?
.... Mmm? i'm not sure, what do you guys think? ... is the story and the picture real? ... and is Nick Pope for real??

Cheers.

Honestly, I had never given much thought to Nick Pope, despite the fact that he pops up on nearly every UFO-related program on television.

I checked several reference sites, including Wiki and IMDB. I was not aware that, despite his longtime status of being retired from the MOD, he is only 52. Also, his mini bio description on IMDB refers to him as "the world's leading expert on UFOs" (big shoes to fill indeed).

While certainly not reaching the Bob Lazar depths of murkiness, I can see how one might be inclined to question some of his motives. Framing Pope as a nefarious disinformation agent, however, is too much of a stretch for my thinking.

i think he is credible, his problem is that he focus too much on cases that have become beyond dead horses

I think he's the British PR guy "managing" their UFO file. "Maybe they exist maybe don't don't, we don't really know anything" type of "investigator". PR Guy.

Maybe he will, or has already, become the J. Allen Hynek of Britain and put the dots together.

I agree. He doesn't seem to do any legwork -- he just talks about what everyone is talking about.

Nick Pope reminds me of a British version of Bob Lazar. He'd make a good used car salesman.

at least nick pope is more or less telling the truth, bob lazar isnt

Your sure about that are you ? He is ex MoD they are not going to let him get away with giving out UFO info. He maybe just a stooge or a Government plant sent out to deceive true believers.
