One of my friends had this cat that got bite by a water moccasin, surprisingly it didn't kill it right away. it finally came out of it a week or two later but you could tell it had neurological damage and walked clumsy and could not get its bearings right, than a week later it was down and out, couldn't walk at all and started hallucinating and was blind, and suffering badly but he thought it might come out it, i told to put it down the first time but instead it ended up biting him in his first finger knuckle leaving a deep wound. it swelled up and two weeks later he finally went to a Dr about it, the xrayed it and it turns out he know has cellulitis, and it fractured his bone and so that means he also has osteomyelitis, they gave him an antibiotic and told him in a couple of days if it show improvement to go to the ER and tell them and he will need an IV, so basically he looking at maybe loosing his finger and maybe more, cause he didn't put that damn cat out of its misery when he should have.
