Well, crap.
I noticed that the Paracast site hasn't updated and normally by this time there would have an announcement of the next show's guest and all that. The last few have been painful. Part of me will feel a bit bad if the wheels fall off this thing. Been around a long time.
Now, before you oil the torches don't think I've gone soft. I've just grown used to it being there and if I hadn't been listening over the years would have missed out on a few cool things.
That said, if it blows up it's on him and he can drown in his own bullshit. We all suffer the consequences of our actions at some point.

I have a Plus subscription until October. I certainly won't renew it. But I have not listened to an episode in months because they have nothing to offer me. Either it is "old boys week to reminisce, or there is a totally obscure guest that has little to do with ufology - very dry and dull. I bring this up because I wonder how Gene expects to attract new young suckers (often those new to ufology) by offering this bland program week after week. I am 7 years younger than Gene but I feel generations younger. I cannot imagine having my own podcast and then using it to indulge in a nostalgic look back at the 60's. Most of the podcast audience was not even born yet for another 20+ years. Who does Gene think he is broadcasting to, the residents of local Phoenix rest homes? As for merchandise, I am sure Goggs MacKay has purchased plenty of tee-shirts so he can boast in Scottland about being an important host of a huge famous American radio program. I give Goggs a hard time because when a person consciously overlooks evil for their own benefit, then that person is also evil.
I suspect that someone like Gene has mental issues. Just an opinion. There is an intensity and a bone stubborn consistency to his actions that do not reflect a healthy balanced mind in my opinion. I think restaurants are taking a big chance by letting Gene eat with silverware instead of plastic fork, knife and spoon. Just joking, Gene. If you can pay lawyers to harass people, then you can pay your monthly rent.

True GS does not appear to be a great beauty to behold but honestly - if all of a sudden the lights went on and we could all see each other in vivid 4K we'd all be put off our feed a while. Eeeeee. I'm pretty sure my phone wouldn't be ringing off the hook with modeling contract offers.
Better to stick to the genuine thievery and conniving - that's a whole lot more interesting.

When I first moved to WA (in 1996) I bought a new VW....after the first year, they make you get new tabs (they don't have a registration sticker like some/most states but they make you get "tabs" - little stickers that go on your license plate that kinda serve the same purpose). First time I went to get them they were like $254. I was like "WTF??". They said it goes off the value of the vehicle. So say if you had a BMW 7 series - you are paying buku bucks. But then some guy (just a regular citizen) started a campaign to get the tabs standardized to a way lower amount (and make up the lost revenue some other way). So it got everyone's support & vote and they actually lowered it to a normal/affordable amount. They were showing elderly people on the news that can't afford the new tabs as well as young folk like me (I was like 25 at the time) that wasn't making a lot of money. Anyway....these days I can afford the $85 but you start talking amounts like $200+ and that's a little ridiculous IMO.Mine cost me 72 dollars this year since they tacked on a 30 dollar additional charge for road work that I haven't seen performed yet...
