Governor pledges to ship razor wire to Texas if Biden stops Abbott

A Republican governor of an interior state pledged to drive in razor wire on the border herself if Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is stopped by President Biden or federal forces from retaining operational control of a park in Eagle Pass.

Meanwhile, the U.S. congressman who represents the area warned Biden would be an "idiot" to commence a standoff or worse with Texas National Guard members now using the park, as parallels were drawn to the last instance of National Guard federalization 67 years ago.

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem told Fox News that Abbott is doing the right thing by standing firm after a Supreme Court ruling in which two conservative justices sided with the liberals to vacate a lower court's order preventing U.S. Border Patrol agents from accessing the park, which has reportedly been a high-traffic illegal migrant arcade. The court’s decision allows Border Patrol agents to cut concertina wire that Texas had installed along the border near Eagle Pass while litigation continues.

"I'll drive in more razor wire from South Dakota if I have to, for [Abbott] to do his job," Noem told "America Reports."

"What people forget is that governors are commanders-in-chief. We're responsible for the men and women of our National Guard. It's a heavy responsibility that weighs on our shoulders, and so we never engage our National Guard soldiers and those men and women unless it's incredibly important."

In defying the order, Abbott said earlier this week the federal executive branch has a constitutional duty to enforce laws protecting states, and that the Founders intended for states not to be victim to the whims of a "lawless president."

From the article you posted:

“We stand in solidarity with our fellow Governor, Greg Abbott, and the State of Texas in utilizing every tool and strategy, including razor wire fences, to secure the border. We do it in part because the Biden Administration is refusing to enforce immigration laws already on the books and is illegally allowing mass parole across America of migrants who entered our country illegally.

“The authors of the U.S. Constitution made clear that in times like this, states have a right of self-defense, under Article 4, Section 4 and Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3 of the U.S. Constitution. Because the Biden Administration has abdicated its constitutional compact duties to the states, Texas has every legal justification to protect the sovereignty of our states and our nation.”

These are the 25 state Governors who signed this statement:

Governor Kim Reynolds (IOWA), Governor Kay Ivey (ALABAMA), Governor Mike Dunleavy (ALASKA), Governor Sarah Sanders (ARKANSAS), Governor Ron DeSantis (FLORIDA), Governor Brian Kemp (GEORGIA), Governor Brad Little (IDAHO), Governor Eric Holcomb (INDIANA), Governor Jeff Landry (LOUISIANA), Governor Tate Reeves (MISSISSIPPI), Governor Mike Parson (MISSOURI), Governor Greg Gianforte (MONTANA), Governor Jim Pillen (NEBRASKA), Governor Joe Lombardo (NEVADA), Governor Chris Sununu (NEW HAMPSHIRE), Governor Doug Burgum (NORTH DAKOTA), Governor Mike DeWine (OHIO), Governor Kevin Stitt (OKLAHOMA), Governor Henry McMaster (SOUTH CAROLINA), Governor Kristi Noem (SOUTH DAKOTA), Governor Bill Lee (TENNESSEE), Governor Spencer Cox (UTAH), Governor Glenn Youngkin (VIRGINIA), Governor Jim Justice (WEST VIRGINIA), and Governor Mark Gordon (WYOMING).

Not since the year 1860, just prior to the Civil War, has the “united” States seen this type – and scope – of open challenge to the federal government. The challenge is already growing far, far, worse.

I was quite surprised by the Supreme Court ruling, I have not read in detail what their reasoning is in support of Biden...One thing seems clear to me is this Biden administration is not supporting the American people nor is he acting in the best interests of this country...To me this is treasonous, Congress must impeach the President on this border matter alone before this country becomes even more divided...The world has become more dangerous than ever during Biden's presidency, we must stop fighting amongst ourselves and become united states once more...

The Democrats have turned Trump into an embattled folk hero of sorts, and some it of has to do with the fact Trump created an economy that was very strong and now Americans are losing about 30% of their incomes to inflation and taxes under Biden's economy...The Democrats have played many hands against Trump, they called him racist, that did not work, then they called him a Hitler, that didn't work...They spied on his campaign and then they investigated him with the Mueller report but that did not work...So then they impeached him, that didn't work so they impeached him again, still didn't work...They raided his home, didn't work...Now they are trying to take him off the ballot...So at this point don't you think these people are capable of rigging an election?...I'm not saying I believe any election has be rigged but damn, when you talk about going after political enemies, the Democrats take the cake...

I don't believe in guarded borders — in an ideal world. But it's not an ideal world.

I agree, this is not an ideal world, this is also a much more hostile world than even just a few years ago...
