US lawmakers approve $8.3 billion emergency coronavirus funding

Now, I'm not I'm no Number's Wizard, "Yeah I am" But anyway, there isn't much of a problem out there that 8.3 billion dollars can't at least improve somewhat.

I mean, Sure sure, "Money Can't buy "Everything" but, Eight billion dollars toward developing a vaccine and handling this emergency, That's gonna help somewhat. It should at least bring some peace of mind.

Chinese are working on a vaccine along with a promise of sonar for the faithful.

It may take a while though as there has been a rush on noodles at the shops.

Worldometer removed the flu stats... ???

The contrast between Corona and the flu was the most interesting part to me.

Bummer.

And this... but nobody is panicking about cigarette or alchohol deaths because that is self inflicted, more or less... and malaria has been around forever, so no one talks about that anymore...

But corona is the most scariest thing because there is no vaccine, and alot of old people died.... who were probably nearly dead anyway....

I sound Cold huh? Not really... just saying... majority of deaths were in the age category 80 and above...

Yeah Corona is a big deal, but the whole panic thing is going to have backlash.... for example, how many people will avoid going to the doctor out of fear of being locked up for 14 to 21 days? And how many of them will help spread the virus to others because they fear losing work?
Yeah... the measures being taken to control Corona can and will work against us also...

So yes, try to do what can be done for public safety.... BUT, already, one person in quarantine was let go to shop and dine in public, only to be found to have come down with it... Whaaaaaaaaat?

WHO says they need 4.4 billion to operate for a year...
And 674 million to cover costs of its response plan to the new corona virus from Feb thru April.

In comparison,
33 billion is the annual Health Care and social services budget of Quebec.

So how deadly IS coronavirus? You're most likely to die if you're a man, elderly and have an underlying heart condition, stats suggest

Figures from the World Health Organization and Chinese scientists has revealed that 1.7 per cent of woman who catch the virus will die compared to 2.8 per cent of men (left). Men were also disproportionately affected during the Sars and Mers outbreaks, which were caused by coronaviruses. But some experts have said this could be due to higher numbers of males smoking or drinking alcohol. The elderly and infirm have also been found to more at risk of coronavirus with 10.5 per cent of those who catch it with cardiovascular disease expected to die from the deadly virus (right, the scene in Italy).

That New Zelda is really something else, I'd recommend it to anyone that had even the slightest interest in a Zelda game. It's truly that good.

Iran threatens to use 'force' to stop people travelling between cities as it tries to get a grip on one of the world's worst coronavirus outbreaks

Iranian authorities warned Friday they may use 'force' to limit travel between cities and announced the new coronavirus has killed 124 people amid 4,747 confirmed cases in the Islamic Republic. Health Ministry spokesman Kianoush Jahanpour offered the figures at a televised news conference. He did not elaborate on the threat to use force, though he acknowledged the virus now was in all of Iran's 31 provinces. The threat may be to stop people from using closed schools and universities as an excuse to go to the Caspian Sea and other Iranian vacation spots.

15 MILLION people will die and the global economy will take a $2.3 TRILLION hit from coronavirus in the BEST-CASE scenario, new study predicts

The global death toll from coronavirus could reach as high as 15 million even in the best-case pandemic scenario, a new study says. The research by the Australian National University also found that global GDP could shrink by as much as $2.3trillion even in what they call a 'low-end' pandemic.

In the most disastrous scenario, the death toll could reach a staggering 68 million including hundreds of thousands of deaths in Britain and the United States. In that worst-case pandemic, some countries' economies would shrink by as much as eight per cent in a global meltdown.
