I think it is plain wrong for them to do this. I agree with someone's tweet that it is harrassment, and I could see someone shooting the door knockers in certain areas of the country.

Biden admin launching 'door-to-door' push to vaccinate Americans, sparks major backlash

The Biden administration is launching a new "door-to-door" effort to vaccinate Americans after falling short of its Fourth of July goal of having 70 percent of the adult population with at least one shot of the coronavirus vaccine.

Amid the administration's ongoing concerns of a surge of the more contagious Delta variant of the virus, President Biden pitched his plan to boost the vaccinated population during remarks he made on Tuesday.

"Now we need to go community by community, neighborhood by neighborhood and often times door-to-door- literally knocking on doors, to get help to the remaining people protected from the virus," Biden said.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki also referred to the "door-to-door" effort while listing the five objectives of Biden's COVID response earlier in the day at Tuesday's briefing, citing "targeted community door-to-door outreach" to "get remaining Americans vaccinated by ensuring that they have the information they need on how both safe and accessible the vaccine is."

Critics were quick to slam the new initiative on social media, including several GOP lawmakers.

"How about don’t knock on my door. You’re not my parents. You’re the government. Make the vaccine available, and let people be free to choose. Why is that concept so hard for the left?" Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, reacted to the president.

"The government now wants to go door-to-door to convince you to get an ‘optional’ vaccine," Rep. Lauren Bobert, R-Colo., warned.

"Hell no," Republican congressional candidate Sean Parnell exclaimed.

"Vaccine education and conversation should be between a doctor and patient, not by a grassroot government door knocker," physician and Fox News contributor Dr. Nicole Saphier wrote.

The money would be better spent sending staff and vaccines to rural communities where some people can't travel 45 or 60 miles to get a vaccine. There is a group in Detroit that has already started taking CDC flyers to neighborhoods and talking to people in neighborhoods that have lower vaccine percentages. I am guessing in those neighborhoods there are other problems that cause people to not be vaccinated, but they are just doing the usual "Old lady in the fur coat picketing planned parenthood" type campaign without finding out why people are not vaccinated. A total waste of time and money. Also giving those vaccine shamers a place to really get out and confront people with their shaming.

I can see some nasty confrontations occur over this and it's completely unnecessary...Its really harassment too, for a virus that's 99 percent survivable and with a vaccine that is mandatory, we don't need these activists coming around to people's homes, it's intrusion...Medical issues are between a doctor and patient, not big brother government to get involved, people are free not to be vaccinated just as they are free to get it, it's their choice...

But maybe they should wear some kind of badge (a big one ) to warn everyone else that, for whatever reason, they have not been vaccinated. Odd thing is, they are at more risk of dying should they pick it up from a vaccinated person than the other way around.

And to bring it all home, today one of my daughters let us know she has to stay at home for ten days as she has tested positive.

She found out a few days ago. But still visited us and sat with my wife talking across the kitchen table for two hours. Never mentioned it.

My wife and I are vaccinate. She isn't . Wont have the jab. Been listening to conspiracy bleevers.

Her younger so who lives with her, and her elder son who is married and lives elsewhere, all have it. The two sons work together. But we don't know who was the first to catch it, hence don't know the vector. (sons are vaccinated).

So we can only hope she doesn't get seriously ill.

And, of course, due to the kitchen table conference, wife and I had to get tested today. Home test kit. Not a nice experience.

But we are both negative.

interesting, that county in New Mexico has a very low population, though it is next to the most populated county in the state. Mountainous region with only a few small towns and a lot of "preppers".

US records 20,000 new COVID cases for the third day in a row for the first time since May as Delta variant continues to ravage areas with low vaccination rates

Health officials say that the fast-spreading Delta variant first identified in India is racing through areas with low vaccination rates, eroding gains made in beating back the virus. On Friday, the seven-day rolling average of daily new cases was up 47 percent from two weeks ago, and hospitalizations were up 11 percent, according to a DailyMail.com analysis of U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data. Around 93 percent of COVID-19 cases in recent days have occurred in counties with vaccination rates of less than 40 percent, CDC director Rochelle Walensky told a media briefing on Thursday.

What is the link to this, it doesn't look like a youtube video.
Yes...hard to find info on it...from what I can gather Oracle films (and there is more than one group with that name) are funded by Christian faith based people who in this case are anti- vaxxers..at least regarding Covid-19 shots. They are also into other 'conspiracy' ideas as well but it seems this is their focus right now. Like all 'conservative Christian'? groups they are big on free choice, etc....unless of course you choose against Christianity. I wonder what they would say on that?

Having said that, I'm for looking at all the data on Covid no matter where it leads. But...this guys opinion and analysis is his and if it's correct then this should be everywhere being discussed by other medical professionals. Is it? Of course they would say it's a conspiacy to quiet them. Typical answer from those who claim they are being 'silenced'.
If this is good info then it should be looked into and he says it was in several mainstream publications...if so then it will come out soon enough imo.

I have a cousin who works in the pharmaceutical field (VP of biology for a small company that actually does DNA research for mRNA type and other types of therapies) I guess I need to ask him about all of it and see if he has time to talk to me and teach me the right questions to ask and how to understand the answers. His company is the one who has all the lab equipment for DNA research that until recently the bigger companies did not want to invest in so they have financed most of their research by providing lab work for the big companies. They came out with a therapy for ALS a couple of years ago. My cousin's original goal in the 1980's was to research better cancer therapies as both our mothers died from cancer, his mother in the early 80's and mine in 2014.

U.S. to announce new warning on J&J coronavirus vaccine for autoimmune disorder

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is expected to announce a new warning on Johnson & Johnson's coronavirus vaccine related to a rare autoimmune disorder, the Washington Post reported on Monday, citing four people familiar with the matter.

According to the Post, about 100 preliminary reports of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) have been detected in the United States after vaccination with J&J shot, mostly in men, many of whom were 50 or older. Around 12.8 million people have received the one-dose vaccine in the United States.

J&J and the FDA were not immediately available for comment.

GBS is a rare neurological condition in which the body's immune system attacks the protective coating on nerve fibers. Most cases follow a bacterial or viral infection.

The condition has been linked in the past to vaccinations - most notably to a vaccination campaign during a swine flu outbreak in the United States in 1976, and decades later to the vaccine used during the 2009 H1N1 flu pandemic.

Last week, European regulators recommended a similar warning for AstraZeneca's COVID-19 shot, which is based on a similar technology as Johnson & Johnson's vaccine.

That's about 1% if my math is correct...nothing is fool proof. But modern medicine as in antibiotics and vaccines have saved tens of millions over the last 70 years. All of us (depending on age) have had vaccines for small pox ,polio, measles, chicken pox , whooping cough, etc and some of us lived through those diseases as kids. I had both chicken pox and measles and luckly lived. My kids have had vaccines and never got any of those diseases. I knew kids who had polio in the mid 50's...and it was sad. Many died or were permanently damaged.
My point is we have all survived many types of vaccines and I don 't understand this anti covid vaccine attitude. I do understand the freedom of choice issue but why take the chance of dying or getting sick and side effects the rest of one's life? The odds are that the vaccine won't cause you a problem. But I guess if the choice issue is that important to you based on your personal ideology ...then you can play the odds and hope you beat the Grim Reaper.
