Back during the Great Depression, my granddad got an enviable job as the local school custodian because he was a licensed boiler operator. This was way up north, and the school had steam heat. Boiler explosions were not unheard of, and the license had been required for some time by then. The job came with a house next to the school. Grandpa tied one end of a rope to the porch railing, and the other end to a railing at the school so he wouldn't get lost in a blizzard in the middle of the night, since he had to make frequent trips to check the boiler. This was about 80 years ago.I bet that insurance companies would tell you a car fire that damages a home or garage is more common than you think. It's a serious concern of mine and I am very cautious about it.
Teething problems with new technology. If I remember right - and may not - weren't early TV sets made with all sorts of natural resins and didn't a few of them in the UK actually start fires and maybe injure people?

"The kinds of things that we do about this is, focus less on thinking about free speech, but thinking about how the times have changed."

Tesla Model S Plaid is now the world's fastest production vehicle: Car sets record breaking EIGHT SECOND quarter mile run at Maryland International Raceway
Tesla’s Model S Plaid is the first production car to complete a quarter mile in under nine seconds. The vehicle, driven by American race car driver Christine Dodworth, reached 125.10 miles per hour during the trip, finishing the run at the Maryland International Raceway in 8.944 seconds.
The Model S was a stock, meaning it came directly from the factory without any modifications, and only had the passenger seat removed to reduce weight. The record also places the Tesla as the second-fastest all-electric vehicle in the world, following the $2 million 2021 Rimac Nevera, which used four electric motors to run an 8.6- and 8.7-quarter mile earlier this year.

I was initially nonchalant about this selection, but now I'm pleased. lolElon Musk is named Time Magazine's 2021 Person of the Year: Says he and Grimes are only 'semi-separated', slams vaccine mandates for 'erosion of freedom' and says he will fly a Noah's ark spaceship packed full of animals to Mars
Elon Musk has been named Time magazine's 2021 Person of the Year. The world's richest man was bestowed the annual honor after a year of selling off his possessions, launching rockets into space, inventing new driverless cars, sharing his Asperger's diagnosis while hosting Saturday Night Live and influencing the stock market with this tweets among many other headlines he's made this year. As of Monday, Musk, 50, has a net worth of $265.4 billion.
The Tesla and SpaceX CEO made history several times this year including SpaceX's September launch of the first all-civilian crew into space. The aerospace company also won a $3 billion contract with NASA- sparking a feud with fellow billionaire Jeff Bezos. Tesla announced their plans to create a humanoid robot with artificial intelligence in 2022 and penned a deal with Hertz and Uber to make 100,000 Tesla's available to rent. This partnership sent Tesla's stock to shoot up making the CEO's net worth jump to $302 billion, making him the first person to ever be worth more than $300 billion and richer than some countries.
