This is quite the tale..
Also... Another begging email was sent.. Friday my time (Australia) it hit the inbox.. It reads:
I woke up this morning considering my birthday, and recalled an old Paul Simon lyric (“How terribly strange to be 70”).
I think I’m doing reasonably well for my age, except for a heart condition. I had a diagnostic procedure scheduled for August 30th that I ended up canceling because I lost faith in the doctor.
When I arrived at the medical center — and that’s a story in itself — I was escorted to a room in a wheelchair, which the hospital claimed was standard procedure. A nurse told me I was scheduled for not one but two procedures even though I was never notified about the second, involving a probe being inserted down my throat. She was not able to explain why.
At this point, I decided to leave and seek medical advice elsewhere.
But I had growing doubts about the doctor before then. Originally I was to visit him about scheduling TAVR surgery, a valve replacement procedure similar to what Mick Jagger, of the Rolling Stones, underwent. But the doctor tried to sell me on an open heart operation instead without any valid reason as to why.
I was also concerned with the security at the medical center. When the doctor’s assistant set up the schedule, she said I had to be fully vaccinated AND take a COVID-19 test before the procedure. But nobody ever contacted me about a test, and when I arrived, all they did was run a quick temperature check. They never asked for a vaccination card.
I have scheduled visits with two highly-rated cardiologists to check over my records, and let me know what tests and treatment are needed. The first is scheduled for September 10th, the second September 13th.
Now maybe I’ll still have to choose open heart surgery, but I’ll feel more confident in my decision. Despite the heart issues, I’m still putting in a normal work day working on The Paracast, and writing my tech blogs. The network has added The Paracast to more stations, and we recently added our subscription version, The Paracast+, to the Spotify/Anchor platform.
I'll probably sign up for Apple’s new podcast subscription program, even though they take a 30% cut from the first year's revenue.
As most of you know, we are currently using guest cohosts to work with me on The Paracast, and the shows are better than ever. Just last week, we featured a special segment with Dr. Jacques Vallee.
If you’re in any position to provide a little financial help, as always I appreciate your donations, whatever you can send. And I know it’s not easy.
Here’s how to send a payment:
Please visit https://www.paypal.me/genesteinberg to send a donation from your PayPal account or a major credit card. If you see the “friends and family option," use that, so PayPal doesn’t deduct a fee from my payment.
If you have any questions at all about my situation, please write.
Thank you for reading and for your past support.
Wow, he compares himself to Mick Jagger?...Could have used anyone as an example or no one, his choice speaks volumes...
"normal work day working on The Paracast"
OK, I really do wonder what such a day looks like and how long it can possibly be.
"…and writing my tech blogs"
I did not get this one. I guess I'm lucky.
This one is classic Gene.
Noticed another one that may be of note. Its Barb's sister again. So the whole family are in on it...
I'm not sure if this has been seen before but they are all clearly in a casino... Upon closer look I think the son ( Grayson ) is sitting at a slot machine. His seat would about the right height. Presumably he is looking at it front on. Gene and the other clown have their hands on his head. One can almost see they are joking around and channelling lucky vibes from the slot machine to Grayson.. Even if I'm way off base, nothing changes the fact they are having a night out at the very establishment that Gene, in theory, should be going no where near. With his apparently dire and dastardly money woes, why would be ensconced at a place where loosing money is basically guaranteed, and being seen there by keen eyes is quite likely too.
I may be mistaken but this is from Grayson's wedding long ago. In Genes defense it does not show him acullly gambling. However there is some evidence that Gene is heavily involved in online gambling. In that Gene heavily accepted ads for online casinos and posted stuff about online gambling.
Another story I came across which seems almost unbelievable to me: Did Gene and Barb have some nephew who was disabled? And, 1) Gene claimed he was a boy or young man, and 2) Gene was obtaining sympathy money donations for the poor kid. But, in the end, the disabled boy turned out to be in his 40s, and none of the cash likely went to his needs anyway.. ? Is this the thrust of the tale? If its the real deal then it's surely the lowest the Steinbergs have stooped. Barb was in on it too apparently. Maybe this is an old yarn long forgotten, but someone here will have heard the details? What a total mess..
That sounds about right. Yes, very sleazy. Jack Brewer's blog posts, three or four of them on the topic, contain the icky details of that con and lots of others. Just the court documents Brewer and his crew uncovered are enough to make a decent person cringe.
I better check that out over at Jacks blogsite.. Another one that comes to mind, and I may have asked this before, or at least someone has, relates to that Rockoids book.. Has anyone actually read it? Was there a sequel as well? I vaguely remember someone saying in a chain of emails quite a while back, that the very positive reviews of the book(s) were actually written by Gene using various false accounts or having his buddies write do it. All the reviews on one book sales site are so over-the-top positive youd think it was a literary masterpiece. That alone is suspicious at even the best of times. In Gene Steinberg's case one is bound to assume at least some of those absolutely glowing reveiws are less than genuine.
I completely agree with this. As many have opined and myself having performed pranks, if you want the true accounting, check out the major pieces Jack did on it. He spent a lot of time making them well-written and informative. No speculation. Only facts. If you include the comments on each, you’ll be reading for quite a while. But, it’s worth it, as Jack brought actual journalism to a previously farcical issue to show its true depth and Gene’s lack of any scruples whatsoever.
I'm going to take back to the past to 2015!
LET'S HELP GENE!
Folks.. This may be of note.. Im not sure what it is exactly but it mentions the whole family.
Maricopa County Justice Courts
When I clicked on the relevant number it said "no cases found."
So did I.. But that doesn't mean much because, 1) the very fact that Gene and the whole crew are listed in court system records at all is probably suspicious, and 2) I found that the organisation listed along with the Steinbergs can be found here, which is all Steinberged too...
CLPF-Desert Club GP LLC VS Eugene Steinberg Et Al
So what does it mean? What happened? There must have been a resolution by now.
And what's wrong with Maricopa County that their records are so incomplete?
Those records are quite old. 2012. They may not be stored online anymore. I suppose one can make a public records request.
Grayson is very much a victim here. To the point he at last count is living in Spain. Helen long ago left the saga. As for Gene his begging went from 222 in 2018
39 in 21019 2 in 2020 and 3 far this year.
All of that is included in Jack Brewer’s entries. He got into all of the public records.
