Woman ghost hunting falls 20 feet through New York train station roof

Woman Ghost Hunting Falls 20 Feet Through New York Train Station Roof By Samantha Lock On 8/2/21 at 4:48 AM EDT

A woman who fell up to 20 feet through a New York state train station roof said she was hunting for ghosts.

The 35-year-old woman suffered multiple injuries after falling near the back of the Central Terminal in Buffalo, New York.

Officers and other emergency personnel responded to a rescue call just after 10:30 p.m., on Saturday, Buffalo police told News 4.

The woman was taken to Erie County Medical Center to be treated for multiple injuries, police said. She later told investigators that she and another man were ghost hunting before the fall

Authorities say the pair were in the area without permission but no charges have been filed at this time, WIVB reported

The Buffalo Central Terminal was originally built in 1929 and operated as one of the country's busiest train stations for 50 years, handling over 200 trains and 10,000 passengers daily, according to the Central Terminal Restoration Corporation. The terminal closed in 1979 and has been left abandoned for many years.

The building has developed a reputation for attracting ghost hunters in the past and the Ghost Hunters TV series once broadcast a six-hour live program from the former train station, according to The Buffalo News.

Newsweek has contacted the Buffalo Police Department for comment.

In June, a man shared eerie snaps from inside an abandoned 19th-century farmhouse, which still had food rotting in the fridge.

Bryan Sansivero said he stumbled across the ruins of an old farmhouse in Maryland, which he estimated was around 2,160 square feet.

"It is extremely hidden, even the driveway is almost impossible to see from the road," he told Newsweek. "There are several structures on the property, including a dozen or so cars, a barn, and a large truck trailer and you can't see any of these unless you're right on top of them. It's pretty much completely hidden from the outside world because of nature."

The 36-year-old photographer said he's ventured into more than 100 buildings over the years as part of his "dangerous hobby," with the states of New York, Virginia and Maryland being the best for finding hidden gems.

    Ghost Pants Caught on Film?

A truly bizarre piece of footage circulating online appears to show a pair of pants running down a sidewalk seemingly without anyone wearing them! The very weird video was posted to YouTube by the paranormal channel Hidden Underbelly, which noted that the circumstances surrounding the strange scene are unfortunately unknown, although the setting would appear to suggest that it took place outside of the United States. The lack of details notwithstanding, the footage is undeniably odd and rather hard to decipher.

In the all-too-brief footage, a young child can be seen playing with a rabbit in the middle of a desolate road at night. Suddenly, out of the corner of the screen, a pair of pants can be seen dashing down the sidewalk before disappearing into the shadows. Eerily, features of the building in the background that should be obscured by an upper torso of the 'being,' for lack of a better term, are clearly visible, suggesting that the baffling sight is not merely a trick of light and shadow.

As for what, exactly, was captured on the video, some viewers have suggested that the 'ghost pants' were connected to some kind of spirit while others have posited, perhaps jokingly, that it is an invisible person who forgot to put on a shirt. Others have likened the notorious cryptid known as the 'Fresno Nightcrawler.' And, of course, more skeptical observers have put forward the prosaic explanation that the scene is somehow the result of a camera error or, failing that, simply a clever hoax.

A weird one for sure, right? It's old, no idea if someone debunked it or not.

He did mention he stopped the camera so even if he's sincere someone might hang their hat on that. In this case a Hardee hat or kepi. Looks cool to me. I think if we see ghosts that's exactly it - like anybody else not glowing or floating.

Photos of Ghosts in England’s Haunted Cadeby Tunnel

Tunnels are often dark, scary, claustrophobic structures best visited in the safety of cars or trains. That’s generally not an option if the tunnel is abandoned, but why would anyone venture into an abandoned tunnel? Ghost hunting, of course! That’s why paranormal investigator Dean Buckley and his team from The Buckley’s Paranormal were in Cadeby Tunnel in Mexborough, Doncaster, recently looking for the ghosts of the Mexborough Ragger and other spirits said to have been seen there. They brought their equipment and Dean took some strange photographs while the mediums spoke with the Mexborough Ragger. The Mexborough what?

According to the off-told legend, the Mexborough Ragger was a young girl who begged for old rags to sell and carried water to nearby quarries for the workers. It’s said she was taking a shortcut through the tunnel when she heard a train approaching. She almost made it back out but dropped her rags and while picking them up was killed at the entrance to the Cadeby Tunnel. There are no news reports or other documentation of the incident, so many categorize it as an urban legend. However, some suicides seem to have taken place there and sightings attributed to those ghosts and others have been reported.

Dean was kind enough to share his photos of the entities the team encountered, and the information picked up by mediums Veronica and Gail Buckley. They said they spoke to the girl, who said she lived in the Victorian era, was carrying buckets of water in the tunnel and other girls were with her and her brother but all escaped except for her.

There have also been accounts of the ghost of a man, possibly a policeman, and of three people who appear to walk to a layby and then vanish. In addition, many visitors have reported seeing ghosts of miners. Dean says the three figures are said to be highwaymen who robbed travelers – the mediums said these spirits, one of which told them he had been a soldier, were not very approachable but Dean managed to get a photo of what he says are three faces.

The mediums say they also encountered a spirit named George who has been heard to shuffle, run and grunt in the tunnel.

Cadeby Tunnel sounds like an excellent spot for ghost hunters. As always, stay safe, don’t break any laws, and go with investigators with experience.

Special thanks to Dean, Gail and Veronica for sharing their photos and experiences at the Cadeby Tunnel.

Eerie Face Mysteriously Appears Behind Girl Riding Down Slide in Mexico

A spooky video from Mexico appears to show a ghostly face suddenly appear behind a little girl as she rides down a slide. The eerie piece of footage was reportedly filmed by Hernandez Blankhaa as her husband and daughter were playing at a park in the community of San Nicolas de los Garza last month. She subsequently posted the video to her Facebook page a few days later, musing that "I did not know whether to upload this or not, but I decided to share it." In the video, as her daughter descends the chute, a creepy-looking face emerges from the darkness at the top of the slide before quickly vanishing back into the shadows.

Blankhaa insists that her family were the only people at the playground at the time and, as such, she cannot explain what could account for the weird visage which somewhat resembles the villainous Chuckie character from the Child's Play films. "Every time I watch this video it makes my skin crawl," the unnerved mother said, "someone please can give me a hypothesis for this because I am in shock." Blankhaa's social media post wound up going viral with, as one might imagine, people offering all manner of theories for the source of the strange face with some suggesting that it could be a ghost and others arguing that it was merely a clever hoax.

'Haunted' upstate New York home hits the market

‘Haunted’ upstate New York home hits the market

The Enslin Mansion hit the market for $444,444. Google Maps
It’s a four bed, two bath and nine ghost.

A spooky historical residence in upstate New York that is allegedly home to nine ghosts recently hit the market for $444,444 — a listing price that’s a nod to the paranormal.

The Enslin Mansion in Troy’s Lansingburgh neighborhood has been featured in shows on Discovery ID and TLC and its queen bedroom has been listed on Airbnb for those daring enough to stay the night.

Constructed in 1890, the home is currently owned by Michele Bell, a self-described empath who told The Times Union her great-grandfather, Frederick A. Feyl, bought the property in 1919.

“It has a lot of spirits. It’s very haunted,” Bell, 55, told the newspaper.

Bell said five of the ghosts are members of her family, including her late son Nick.

Another spirit is Shirley, a one-time boarder who was found dead in the basement. The other three ghosts are unidentified men, according to Bell.

Bell keeps the basement locked and said it’s been the site of spiritual activity.

Paranormal investigators have detected some ghostly activity in the home, the report said.

Bell is hopeful a young couple will buy the house and said she doesn’t plan on changing the asking price.

The number 444 is considered to be a sign of encouragement sent from guardian angels. The so-called “angel number” is supposed to help someone through a difficult time in their life.
