I believe it is important to clarify our position here, particularly in regards to the authorities and their influence on the dissemination of information. The problem with authority, from a societal perspective, is that it often spreads out in multiple directions, making it difficult to hold specific individuals accountable. Additionally, the concept of freedom is a product of specific sociological contexts, and what we seek from it may not always be achievable. For example, I was raised with certain values that lead me to view certain lifestyles as morally incorrect, but modern laws and social norms punish those who do not conform to modern perspectives. Ultimately, freedom may be an illusion, as we are not truly free to express ourselves and our beliefs without fear of repercussion. I suspect that this has always been the case, and may always be so.
