Another report on this probe, more are thinking it's an alien craft...

Astronomers Focus Search for Aliens on Interstellar Mystery Object

Given the strange nature of the object, it wasn’t long before speculation ran wild that we might have just encountered our first extraterrestrial spacecraft.

Avi Loeb, the chair of Harvard’s astronomy department, writes “the more I study this object, the more unusual it appears, making me wonder whether it might be an artificially made probe which was sent by an alien civilization.”

In particular, scientists are struck by the long cylindrical shape of the object; ‘Oumuamua is estimated to be between 100 and 400 meters long with much smaller diameter. Such cylinder shapes are perfect for aerospace applications – just look at our own space shuttles and rockets – but are seldom seen in naturally occurring space objects like comets or asteroids which tend to be more spheroid.

Do they have any images showing that it is cylindrical?

Not that I'm aware of, the shape was calculated through data and measurements taken, but they are beginning to run a new series of scans on the probe as it passes Jupiter...The image I posted is a real image, the dot in the center of the photo...

The dot not affected by the motion blur?

You would have to ask the astronomers who took the photo, I've seen other similar photos taken of comets and space rocks, the photo looks normal to me...

Maybe it would pay Humanity to put listening satellites in orbit around every planet to film and record data from any unusual objects heading thru the solar system. I mean heaven knows what could come out way .

Looks like its just an elongated asteroid object.....SETI didn't find anything indicating an ETV.

That doesn't mean that there is nothing out there. But I agree its probably just a lump of rock.

    1. There was no observable dust or emission. This is odd even for an asteroid let alone a comet.

    2. The 10:1 aspect ratio is unlikely for a natural object. Asteroids look like potatoes because they don't have enough gravity to get perfectly round. But 10:1 is too high an aspect ratio for even an object with low gravity.

This is the highest aspect ratio asteroid I could find - and it looks like two potatoes fused together.

The ion cannon on Oumuamua is a dead giveaway that it isn't an asteroid.

SETI listens for radio signals, if the probe doesn't use radio they won't detect anything...

I got it from an imgur post of a twitter feed on this subject:
I am the Harbinger of your perfection.

All copies of the original go back to Bruckner13.

He got the image from sites discussing Collector Ships from Mass Effect 2
Fextralife View topic - Black Ark Theory

The original NASA image was clearly labeled "artist's concept" which was cropped from most versions of the artwork.

Yes they tried to make people think the artist drawing was a real photo by cropping the caption...
