He mentions in this video about the SG-1 pilot Children of the Gods and that there was a Final Cut version created...I didn't know this, I'm going to watch this version tonight and see how it is, it got good praise in this video and he also mentions some of the changes...

I don't know why people get excited about reboots/remakes of old things that they liked. The ones in charge of the new version usually make it awful. Almost all television serials these days are overtly political as well, and remakes/reboots are usually co-opted by this cause.

I would hope are never going to remake any of the Stargate series and create a new series instead, however you are correct, sadly these days most series and for that matter movies as well are overly political or full of PC woke nonsense or regurgitated tripe that is worse than the original...
