First half of the movie is slow. I found myself annoyed at the female lead for being a real downer. Then there was the second half of the movie. Nicely done, didn't see that coming. I'd say 7/10. Well worth watching

I was worried due to the negative press the movie was getting. First it's not gone with the wind. Nor is it thor blood and thunder. It's thrilling action ride it's confusing and at the same time brutal. My kids loved it!:I liked it dispute it's flaws. And I walked in not expecting citizen Kane . 7.5/10

I decided to start watching more Scooby-Do. So far, no TV shows, just movies. I've limited myself as to how back to go, so that the animation will have reasonably good quality. So far, I have watched "Where's my Mummy" and "Zombie Island." Both pretty good, 8/10. I'm currently watching Scooby-Doo! and the Witch's Ghost (1999).
@Rikki may find this interesting.

Just discovered that the first 2 seasons of the original Scooby-Doo TV series is free on Tubi. May as well check out how it all got started.

I watched this film on netflix last week... I would give it a solid 8/10 ... I found that the all-round quality of the film wasn't quite as advertised by the critics, ... nor did I witness any of the prominent acting performances that were touted by the same critics, but nevertheless the acting was adequate and the sets were acceptable... and the pacing of the storyline was spot on. It wasn't the best war film that I have seen, in fact watching the original 1930 effort starring Lew Ayres with my father on our old black and white television when I was a little grasshopper will stay with me longer than this version. [nostalgia is powerful] ... but I found it a eminently enjoyable couple of hours.:Thumbsup:

Cheers.

I went cheap and watched the 1979 version of “All Quiet On The Western Front” on Amazon Prime. This movie features Richard Thomas (the Waltons) and Ernest Borgnine. This certainly isn’t your typical super hero movie. It is a gritty look at warfare from the trenches. I would give it a 7/10.

Watched this one on netflix last night and enjoyed it a lot. ... The already macabre storyline was exponentially multiplied by knowing that it was a true story [well, as true as theatricality will allow] and the two main performances by Redmayne and Chastain were top notch. ... 9/10.

Cheers.
