This is a fun and entertaining movie to watch, if you haven't seen it before I recommend checking it out...
The one I watched most recently is Justice Society: World War II from this year. Some will be pleased, other put off, by it's retro-plot, involving patriotism and battling WW2 Nazis. The Barry Allen version of The Flash and Wonder Woman are the star characters. It stands out in that the The Flash is played totally straight, no goofiness or comedy. Actually, the overall movie is moderately dark. I was fascinated by Stana Katic's (Wonder Woman's) accent. I knew her from the Castle TV show, but she never sounded like that. Aquaman has his vintage look - no beard. According to Wikipedia, "The film shares continuity with Superman: Man of Tomorrow and Batman: The Long Halloween." 8.5-9/10
It starts out on pre-Justice League Earth-1, but takes place mostly on a different Earth.
Disney has always (stretching back to the 1940s!) aimed for mega-hits with it's animated films. Most DC animated movies could be considered as aimed for a niche market. Case in point, besides comics fans, the Justice Society is virtually unknown.DC sure does a much better job at animation movies and series than Marvel, I would have thought that Disney would push for more animation movies from Marvel, guess they see no dollar signs in that route...

The Final Cut version of the original 1982 film is available on Netflix. I plan to give it a look.Blade Runner 2049
Even after all those years I still find the original intriguing, memorising.
This shares the sense of immersion in another world but the story is pedestrian.
Perhaps I've lost my sense of technological wonder or technological wonder is the new mundane.
I'm going to watch Cloud Atlas this afternoon, I don't know anything about this movie nor have I watched any reviews of it...This movie kind of slipped by me, it was made in 2012 I think, I've only seen the trailers...
Lisa (Gaia Weiss) is alone in the middle of nowhere. A vehicle stops. She reluctantly gets a ride from the creepy stranger. She gets knocked out and wakes up in a futuristic tunnel maze.
This really does meander. The basic premise is very Cube-esque with less people. Quite frankly, she's alone most of the time. The maze does not engender any mystery like the room numbers in Cube. It becomes a series of limited thrills as she crawl around and around. There are a few interesting ideas but the main story has no juice. It's really just watching this lady crawl around in the tunnels for an hour. Fast forward is very useful in this one.
I watched Meander. I honestly didn't know what to say about it. I read some of the reviews and this one was about as close to my own watch experience so I just quoted it.
I was left unimpressed but, I'll give it a 5/10
Yeah I saw that the first episode was available, but that's not a review or rating. lol
I saw Ghostbusters Afterlife.
It was so great! I loved it. It had that kid from Strangers Things. And all the guys, even the dead one made an appearance. The granddaughter was practically Egon's twin.
Well acted, a few jump scares, even a few tears. I highly recommend it. 8/10
I have the movie now. I plan to start watching it tonight.
Not yet. I'll let y'all know.Did you watch it?...I'm going to rewatch it tonight...

Okay, I've begun. Because I'm not really up on my Ghostbusters lore, I had to search to find out what the hell is going on in the beginning.Did you watch it?...I'm going to rewatch it tonight...

It'll will take me a little while to finish. Once the streaming era began, I've evolved to the point where I only watch standard length TV episodes straight through.Okay, I've begun. Because I'm not really up on my Ghostbusters lore, I had to search to find out what the hell is going on in the beginning.
