Soul's Memories

As Above So Below
When researching theories about the soul’s departure after death it appears that in many religious beliefs or traditions there contains a reference, sometimes very subtle and often gone unnoticed by many, a reference of the soul, after leaving the body losing memory, memory that is washing away and forgotten…

For example:

The vision of St. Macarius of Alexandria, describes how the soul after spending three days becoming freed from the body and after ascending to heaven for the adoration of God, is then commanded to wander for six days in paradise where, 'contemplating it all, it becomes transformed and forgets all the sorrows it had while in the body.

Venerable Macarius of Alexandria

Ancient Greeks believed that souls were made to drink from the river of Lethe so they would not remember their past lives "and those who were not saved by wisdom drank more than was necessary; and each one as he drank forgot all things."

Lethe

Does the soul forget past memories, all that it has experienced and/or suffered in past lives?...

If the soul passes beyond the Earth's magnetic field there could be a auto-erase process. I read the following in The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life in regards to memories stored in the physical mind. Thoth told Drunvalo that he's been through several poles shifts and when this happens the planet enters an electromagnetic null zone or void which is described in the bible as the three days of darkest. Because our memories are stored magnetically the people who lived during the times of the shifts lost all their memories and had to start over. Thoth and his masters weren't affected by this because they were protected by Mer-Ka-Ba's. Immortality in the book is described as not losing your memory and having to start over.

When we die all our experiences are readily recallable.
Every last one is permanently a part of us.
We may forget the pain and suffering by choice, but the experience will remain with us and whether good or bad will enrich us to make us wiser, and more learned and ultimately more powerful.
Each NEW experience is a small building block of our very essence, the sum total is what makes us who and what we are at any given time.
In the afterlife all your past lives and memories of experiences all the way back are there for you.
It is important that memories of past lies be mostly or totally forgotten or unavailable in a new life so as they do not become a hindrance to the experiences need in the present life.

I thought everything we experience was supposed to be recorded on the Akashic records, where it can never be lost or destroyed.

They say when reborn our past memories are wiped clean so as to give us a new start in our new bodies. Some however do retain past life memories and for some this can be a real problem.

But I thought we retained all of our past life memories. We just aren't allowed to access them for some reason.

I read some event broke the Akashic Records 5.5 million years ago and there's no data before that point. That was also written in The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life.

Do you think the memories of past lives of a soul would be remembered as the first person who experienced that life or as a third person, like reading a book?...

If you can remember any part of past existences then they would be maybe like reading a book, yeah. We certainly don't come into this existence with all the knowledge we have ever experienced I don't think we could handle it all and live this life with all it entails. I had a past life recall session in a group once and that interesting what you see is like a dream in sepia tone remote viewing what was you back then . I knew a girl who was petrified of water she would never get on a boat always said she had dreams of falling into water when she was young . Past life maybe , drowning ?

What if the Soul is waiting to come back to earth and in the meantime decides at some moment to remember some memories of a past life it once had, would the Soul remember those events as a first person or third person?...

That's a very good question. Maybe the soul is not permitted to remember anything while in its in- between state if that's the case that would cancel out first and third person, not allowing the memories to flow ? Maybe all we are is information gatherers for some as yet unknown entity ? When we dream is that second or third person or maybe first person , maybe dreaming is our earthly form of soul resting ?

I believe that sometimes our minds can cross with our counterparts from an alternate Earth.
Ever wonder about that if you and your identical twin from a parallel Earth are both sleeping at the very same correlated moment of time, if some connection is made and what we experience as a dream may be a memory to them.

At Peace.
I drown when. I was 3, had an out of body experience, and saw them trying to revive me.

It is as if I didnt even know I was not in my body at first... everything felt physical, and as far as I knew I was alive and breathing. It was difficult for me to even understand that I was watching them work on my dying body...

I met a young girl on the other side, who drowned the same way a year prior. She showed me that I could be as big or small as I wanted, just by willing it... I could stand on the ceiling, or float in the air...

SHE POINTED AT Her parents WHO had come back... She said that it had been a year... It was her birthday.

I woke up with all these people standing around me, coughed up water, and got checked out by a EMT medic, then walked up to her parents, and gave them the message. 'She is okay... she said , " It's okay... it's okay... I love you... It's okay." '

Her mom sobbed and the husband hugged her and said-"See? Its okay... its okay.."

I remember that... and I expect, she is proof that we are retain our memories, and we arevmuch rpthe same after we die... and we do remember our past and our parents.

I think, our new souls can reconnect to energies of the past, and we can remember other lives... but they were different souls... We are kin to them... in a cosmic energy sort of way, but each life is unique, and each life has a unique soul. We are not re-incarnated, as much as our cosmic energy is all connected... like the air we breathe...

We could have breathed the same air that has been breathed by others, and unused, expelled, just like we share cosmic energy....

I may have, at one point, breathed a breath that contained molecules, unused by Benjamin Franklin, and he expelled them... and I could pull the oxygen from that, and use it... because he didnt...
Cosmic energy can work for us similarly, a sharing of these energies can connect us to former selves, ancestors... even aliens...

I do not believe every living being has a soul, there is always the possibility of acquiring such a body...I do not believe every alien has a soul either, but that's a stretch to speculate upon that notion...
